How old is this mag?

I was given a old classic mag that has a matching serial number of CF03959. Any idea how old this thing might be? Any "antique" value?

I bought MM00818 new in August/September 1992, but I don't remember if it had "Patent Pending" on it. CF03959 might have been before that even as I'd wager a guess that there were 4000 automags made before there were 800 minimags.
