i have to agree with squirrel. had a 99 right feed cocker sent to him years ago for ripper milling and anno, and he did it, and sent it back. but he sent it to someone else. it took about a year to finally get it back, then less than a year later, the feed tube fell out of the body. never seen that happen before... sent it back to him after calling him, and letting him know what was going on. that was the last time i saw my ripper. 2.5 years later, he finally returned my emails, after i'd threatened legal action on the federal scale, and he said he'd compensate me. offered me $250. for a friggin marker that he charged me twice that amount to mill and anno. the problem was resolved finally, but after almost 3 years. no points for joe. family problems or no, that's not how you run a business.

Couldn't agree with you more!!!Originally posted by BigEvilI agree that it is very easy to 'bash' someone and it is always important to try to see the big picture. However, paintball seems to be a breeding ground for nonsense behavior from retailers. If you cannot devote time to a business, then don't take peoples money. If what this guy is saying is true, then White Wolf did a half-*** job. If true, that is totally unacceptable, from him or anyone.Comment

Mike @ CCI was very helpful, parts will be in the mail tonight, and he actually has a phone number!!
As for the off-center Phrantom, I was shooting some large bore paint and had the .694 insert in. The inserts fit in there very tight, not even sure I'd be able to get them in & out after I ano'd it. I kept having breaks. So I take the barrel off and look down it, it had a lip all the way around where the barrel was smaller than the insert. One side of that lip was larger than the other.Comment

No, but just because he has a bad experience doesn't give him the right to tell me to not buy from WWA. If he'd been around for a while he would know that this comes up periodically and lack of communication is an outstanding problem with Joe. It seems to be hit or miss with him.Originally posted by nmibDont discredit him based on a post count on here. That is foolish. What does a post counts prove? If he had a couple thousand then you'd believe him 110%?
I welcome new players, but I stand by my statement. I didn't mean that I didn't believe he had an issue, just that without more information his wording smacked of a knee-jack over-reaction.

He merely made a strong recommendation to the community based on his experience. He's not telling you, specifically, to do anything. True, he hasn't been around as long as many of us. But that's not an excuse to criticize him. If anything it's more of a reason to calmly inform him of what to expect from WWA and that this is something that happens, if not often, at least regularly.Originally posted by craltalNo, but just because he has a bad experience doesn't give him the right to tell me to not buy from WWA. As for WWA itself, I personally would not place any orders or have any custom work done through them. My expectations for service exceed what they are capable of providing. I believe that they do very good work, but that is only one piece of the puzzle.Comment

I reworded the post so that the language is not so strong. It wasn't meant as a command Craltal, but I get your point.Comment

Hey Squirrel don't let these guys get to you.
There are obvious problems when dealing with WWA, I've had them myself.
I say you are completely justified in your post.
Your issues w/ WWA go way beyond a few emails not getting a prompt response.
There's no excuse for poor workmanship or damaged parts.
Him being busy with his "real" life isn't an excuse.
I don't see how people with tons of posts that know about the issues, can defend the guy.
Wrong is wrong simple as that.Comment

I've never had a problem with him over numerous transactions over numerous years. If I were to go by my experiences solely, I'd have to say he's a great dealer, but I acknowledge that others have had issues with him and thereby I have a more balanced opinion. As I said, he can be hit or miss.
It bothers me when every couple of months there is yet another thread vilifying him. While it appears that Squirrel has a legit gripe, the initial knee-jerk "Avoid White Wolf" (which is in the title of the thread) is overkill. They always seem to appear right after the holidays, right after Spring Break, or just at the beginning of summer. Odd coincidence that as someone who works in the school system he would be a bit busy around those times and maybe get behind?
I've watched this cycle present itself over a number of years.

Slow is one thing, not even replying is bad business.
Sending out parts that are junk, hmmm I would say maybe you should stick to your day job.
There are plenty of other AO'ers who work "real" jobs yet have the common courtesy to at least contact paying customers if there's going to be a delay.
If the items that were shipped out were flawed then a reply may have at the very least given Squirrel some hope and possible prevented him from even posting.Comment

If you contact him thru one of his Ebay auctions he always responds.
You just have to know how to do it.
And I bought something for 600 from him once too.

right cuz how many posts you have in this forum obviously has something to do with complaining about horrible service.Originally posted by craltal*sigh* another "Let's bash White Wolf" thread. And one from someone who just joined and has (as of my writing this) 15 posts. woo hoo...
Joe has a real job and a family. He does this as a side business. He gets in over his head quite often. Send him a message explaining the situation and provide as much supporting documentation as you have. Assuming you are telling the truth about all of this, he should make good on the situation.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you are dishonest, however not knowing the specifics of the situation I'm not going to side with anyone. I have had numerous dealing with Joe over the years and while there are times when he's very responsive to emails, there were others when I didn't hear a peep from him for weeks.
squirrel commander didn't you know that you have to have alteast 2000 posts in order to be taken seriously?? duh.

I was using that to make a point which so many of you obviously missed. Broad sweeping statements and knee-jerk reactions are the staple on PBN, not here. Or at least I thought there was still some common sense alive here.
I don't deny the claims of those of you who feel you were slighted by Joe, but since I have never experienced anything like that myself I can't stand idly by when someone who is green to this site over-reacts. 15 posts and having registered less than a month ago is Green in terms of this site. Does this mean his opinion is not valid, no. I just think y'all need to take a step back, breathe, and stop trying to jump on the bandwagon.

Squirrel, I'm not trying to pick on you, and I do appreciate you acknowledging my point amongst all of the rest of this.
Welcome to AO, btw. Sometimes we do get a bit heated about some issues

Craltal,
I know what you are saying about him making a mistake. I would never have posted here if he had replied to me. Me posting here (and other places) is my last ditch effort to get him to acknowledge me, and warn others that this is how he does business.
I'm sure that if you don't have a problem with the sale, you would have a positive opinion of him. The second sale I did with him went off w/o a hitch (besides him not sending me my missing parts).
I'm just wanting him to set things straight, can't blame me there can you? You have to admit that 5.5 months after purchasing something and no replies to emails is a bit negligent. And a showing of my patience and lack of the "Knee-jerk" reaction.
I went and bought a full freak kit for this barrel, I would like one that will work with it. Might be too much to ask, but my logic and lighter wallet don't think so. I can't even use the kit with my other guns because I shoot AKA's, and you know it's sacrilege to put SP products on those!Comment
