Well now, this has had a sneek peak already as Damon let the ct out of the bag, but here are some pics. I finally got it finished and it is operational. I will get a video up when I can get the video camera dug up.






A photographer I am not, but looky all you want. As you can see it still needs some finish work before I send it off to Gruntbull for ano, I also need to finish testing the board for Damon over at Scenario Dreams. If you need a custom board I would seriously look over his way, this thing is tiny!!! Anyway, feedback, criticisms. I am thinking of either doing a Tequila fade as I have an E-Mag barrel that came from a Tequila, or a slime green with black parts. Let me know what you think.

I haven't weighed it yet, but I am going to do it at the post office after hours so I don't scare people I also need to find someone who does work on Carbon Fibur as I got the barrel custom from Rogue with no porting. I want to have the moon ports cut into it like the old Stiffis, but I am going to do it a little differently so it won't split like they did.

tequila sunrise would look so sick (still thinking whether to do that to one of my mags or not), but i would prefer it on an E-mag than anything else since it has more surface area. whatever colors your choose, that mag will still be cool and rip the other electros no matter what

Definitely if you need some small electronics Damons board will be great when he finishes the coding. Mine is a beta board and it has some bugs, but it still works great and is easy to mess with once you get the hang of it. I'm really undecided on the colors as I like the idea of either. I'm leaning more towards a slime green with black accents or midnight blue with black accents. I don't think the tequila will look quite right unless everything is tequila, and I wasn't really planning on having the LPR or ASA and foregrip messed with. We'll see, I still have to come up with the money.

That is a very nice gun. I really love when different brand parts are modded together. That deserves some serious MOTM points. It is very difficult when you are using a frame that is not made to fit the mag. I am working on something similar but it isn't a Dye frame, so don't worry.

forgive me for my ignorance, but if that is a electro frame what is with the lpr?

The lpr is there to drive the solenoid which drives the ram to fire the marker. It is essentially an electronically controlled pnuemag.

Why not go with a pneumag then? Still, it looks sweet and sounds like an interesting concept. I am still fuzzy on how it works though.

Firing modes...eyes (if you think you need them)...changing batteries...all reasons to go electric.

Mainly because if you are going to play in any kind of competitive tournaments you need to have the ability to set rate of fire. Yes, I know that a well set up Pnuemag can reach a steady 14-15 bps if you are fast enough, but you know what any team coach will say when he hears you play with a mech? "Go get a Shocker."

Another factor is that I wanted to set my mag up with Level 7 as it makes a huge difference with air consumption if you have a properly set up barrel. I don't remember who did the test, but the difference between a Level X mag and a 14" ultralight and a Level X mag with a 11" Crown Point or Lapco was 1100-1400 shots. A Level 7 mag with a Lapco or Crown point got around 1500-1700 depending on paint.

I could make the install a little cleaner if I shortened the wiring, which I will do after I get it anoed. Other then that I just need to do a little clean up in certain areas. As you can see, to get everything to fit I had to hollow out all the spare metal in the frame and then mill a bracket to hold the piston. The grip screws are what actually hold the bracket in place.

Dang dude, you really crammed it in there. Also wanted to say to the guy who said why go electronic, with a standard pneumag you can still short stroke the trigger due to the mechanical solenoid.

Wow that thing looks great! Ive been planning on doing the same thing you have here except in a normal i-frame(gonna be a tight fit). How do you like that little smc 3-way solenoid? Ive been checking it out on ASP's website. Have you tried to see what your max rate of fire is with it?
