Why the sudden resurgence of pump play?

This one is easy. The reason for the resurgence of pump play is because the players are getting more interested in personal skills. Accuracy, moving, strategy. Less emphasis on rate of fire, or the latest techno gizmo. Remember, it only takes one paintball to get your opponent out. Shooting 15 at one time is only a sign that you are not sure of your shot. Playing for the "fun" of it.
