Well folks, the time is here yet again...

Mobsterboy's big project season

So I saw that Jay had a nice Ripper XT body for sale one day...

(sorry Lasrsktr for stealing your pic. Couldn't find the ones I once had)
So I decided this could be the start of a beautiful project...

Add that to this rail that i acquired with a dust black chord v2 from Rifleman i no longer have (simply because Rifleman wouldn't sell unless it was part of the deal. Thanks Bud!)...


And I add a hyperframe thats been in the works for a couple years now and we have my newest project now that I've slimmed down everything else from my collection!!!

So here's the deal...

Progress has since been made!!!

The Rail came back... And I told Luke to get wild and crazy with it....
Well he doesn't disappoint..




Oh yeah... I also had him take off that awkward looking ugly lip that they originally came with... Ya know... Just to add to my own personal touch to it...
So here's what we've got so far...

Basically I still need:
~Rogue 15 degree asa
~Black magic regulator (gutted and used solely as a foregrip
~ Subzero or CCM feedneck
~Hyperframe Aluminum panels (Possible Jay/Cyberave work)
~Hyperframe Trigger (thinking of getting jay to modify an Airwalk V2 Trigger for this)
~HF Internal Overhaul (Universal Tboard on the way)
~And a RT Pro Valve (Just picked that up, arrived today, 3-29-2008. Thanks Manwe)

Speaking of the RT Pro Valve...

RT Pro Serial Number 00731. What I'm planning is Annoing the back half of the valve to match. Any thoughts on this?


UPDATE: I'm thinking of doing a high gloss black anno with a splatter or acid wash, Haven't quite figured out what yet. I really liked Spartans Viking. Kinda wanna do something like that. I'm also thinking about having the Hyperframe supermilled with some sort of Viking half or full mill pattern. (basically like V's milled into the frame to give it depth and contrast)
Also has anyone noticed that theres a chunk of metal right below the microswitch? I want that GONE!!!!)

That looks incredible so far! i do agree that lip of the Ripper body wasnt so attractive, but that rail really sets the whole thing off! Good job to luke for a nice looking rail, good job to you for creating something worth watching! keep it up

Yellow with black accent and engraving of the bumble bee logo on one side with the autobot logo on the other side of the rail?

Or you can just get a pair of carbon fiber grip that have the bumblebee or autobot log embedded into the carbon fire. That would look nice, they just print out the logo, cut it, and then embedded it in as they pour the carbon fiber.

i also had luke cut me another rail like that with the lip, and cut my ripper bodie just like your to match last month, thought i woulda had the only one o well, im still in the process of modifying my ripper body.. yea, a-tach has a few of my parts off my emag project sitting in his locker too, maby they will meet? ha

Love the body but I sure dont care for that rail at all.
Its the back half that doesnt belong, to me. If the whole thing looked like the front part......

I think you'll be surprised once its annoed. Bout to add new pics of the valve i just got...

a splash would be hot but that body i dont think will look that good with it or even with an acid wash.

i never liked yellow/black together until i came to VCU (thats the school colors) and i have really started to like the contrast it gives. it may be nicer to mix and match parts or to get the ribs one color and the deeper parts another (you could find some places to do that but it may not be to easy to find)

ether way i think its going to look pretty nice
