Mine in the first pic i used a straight tape instead of the pipe tap and had no problems... there is a o ring between the cp and the bottom of the frame...

The cp is drilled and then a counter sink hole with just a larger bit, just went from new hole in at a angle to hit the air passege from the tank..

    hope this helps...

in this pic you can see the bottom of the lpr doesnt even come all the way through but its not needed in the way i did it...

The lpr on mechanics - well lets just say that is a trade secret that I doubt loguzzzzzz wants to share
mhmm You're correct. The fitting is set in place pretty snug because of the way the fitting expands to accept the macroline. So it's literally held in by friction and a little pressure applied by the fitting and macroline. The only way to remove the LPR is to remove the tank, drop, and pull the macroline out. Which isn't easy. It's easier to just disconnect the T-fitting on the tank from the tank completely, which is what I [will] do when switching tanks between my E-Mag and Pneumag.

so you just drill till you hit an air passage in the cp asa and a shallow larger hole for an o ring? is that about all there is to it? im pretty sure im missing something.

or in the case of wetwrks you drill a hole and tap it for the threads?

How much pressure can that O-ring take?

Q1: yes that is all there really is to it. No you arn't missing anything. It is really pretty simple to do most of this.

Q2: a lot of the frames come with the hole standard, you just have to tap it.
Chimera, Airwalk 1, Airwalk 2, all come with the hole, and I am pretty certain the intelliframe does too.

It should take whatever pressure any fitting with an O ring can take. Pretty much you shouldn't have to worry about it.

The big thing to note with the O ring system is to not make the counter sink hole too deep otherwise you won't get a seal when you put it together and it will leak. You might have to try drilling it a couple times and just take a tiny fraction off each time and then try and put things together and see how it fits. You definately want the O ring to squish between the asa and the frame to form the seal. But you don't want it to squish too much and thus pinch and possibly cut the o ring.

Other than that, these are just 2 different ways to do the same thing.
