Heyyyy...I just thought of something...maybe if we sacrifice a goat to Hephaestus he'll make us some E-Mags. he did a pretty good job with Zeus' lightning bolts...

it wasnt directed at AGD. i do think that dead goats could help on that front. EMAGs or the cuddly kittens gets thrown off the bridge.

when was this cause I called this week. I just thought that they were going to make them cause on the AGD web site there is still a description on there and no red letters saying that they will no longer be made.... thats what i get for making an assumtion

It was several months ago. It seems now they aren't listed in the online store though...

theres no need to get rid of your SP stuff. the reason you have it is prolly cause it works well and you like it. dont let this AGD vs SP B.S. keep you from owning well built and well performing paintball gear.

Except now adays it will keep you from owning poor quality crap made by SP now adays. (And no I am not saying this out of bias)

you all have to realize that this isnt just a sport. paintball is a freakin buisness. and sometimes buisness sucks for the little guy. SP does make quality stuff. but how would you all know? your so full of hate that you dont buy or use their equipment. its like saying that a certain car company sucks and their parts are awful when you dont even drive one. look how many teams use the Shocker, and have been using it since it was released in 03. you just hate because you were told to by other AGD only players. you talk about not being bias? come on.

Really it is mostly due to quality , I still shoot freak barrels & used to use Max Flo regs , but they quit making the good ones( 3rd gen) & trying to get a HP spring from them is like pulling teeth
& a lot of it is thier general bussiness practices , flood the market with cheep stuff because all but the hardcore are going to throw it in the closet after 3 or 4 months anyway
& like joelbird said this is AO do you expect us to support other marker brands , i'm sure they have thier own forums

wow i had no idea, i only heard hear say and nothing really concrete, i guess its wrong for me to have a SP barrel on my 68 classic mag. ...... well then i guess im looking for a new barrel too.

this was the quote that started this. so im sorry for it getting out of hand, i see no reason for this guy to stop using a barrel that has performed well for hi just cause he just learned that SP was a law suit happy company. if he never found out about the whole thing he wouldnt think twice about using his barrel. but oh well. sorry.

Ah Gentlemen, and Ladies,

I have been shooting a MAG of one variety or other since 1993. I STILL SHOOT AUTOMAGS, (a classic, RT Pro, and an E-Mag) I love em, and don't see me getting rid of any of them.

I ALSO SHOOT A SHOCKER NXT, which I also love and don't plan on getting rid of. It is also a QUALITY marker that has never let me down on the field.

Do I like what SP did to the paintball industry? NO! It was childish, and I don't really think SP will recoup their legal fees anytime soon, that's why they are flooding the market with INEXPENSIVE but quality markers, to try an regain some funds from the legal battles.
I DON'T LIKE the Gardner brothers, I've played against them, and their even more childish on the field, than in business; BUT THEY MAKE A QUALITY PRODUCT!

So since I want dependable quality on the field with me, I shoot AIRGUN DESIGNS markers, an SP SHOCKER NXT, and a LINE SI BUSHMASTER DELUXE (pump).

I also use nothing but DYE Ultralite barrels on ALL my markers, because THEY ARE THE BEST BARREL I'VE EVER USED! But don't even ask me what I think of Dave Youngblood....

a friend of mine i work with bought a shocker in '03. the first of the new shockers. 5 1/2 years later it is still throwing paint down field. my rt pro i bought 4 years ago. until i sold it last week, it also still threw paint down field. neither of them have needed any work besides maintaining a well lubed marker. hmmm...

Here is the dilemma as I see it:
No one is going to admit that their marker is not as good as the next. It is just like the whole Chevy v. Ford thing. Both make competent cars and both make crappy cars. One is not better than the other. It is all personal preference.
SP can make a fine gun. Too bad their business practices are about as mean spirited as you can get.
Now, kids, adults, boys and girls... we are going to have to admit that every paint ball gun has high and low points. All of them. Even if it is just price.
But, the one thing that other companies have that AGD doesn't is new products. I am sorry. And, before you start on me, I am an AGD supporter. I really am. You do not say something like that calmly and with out malice if you are not.
i want to see AGD design a new maker so very badly. I know that SP has some wild patent that grants them a thousand dollars every time someone thinks of air currents and paint at the same time, and that is sad, but oh well.
I would love a new mechanical marker, and official pneumatic mag or something else from the codex of Leonardo. Hell, why not put their minds into the barrel industry, or why not bring back the mighty mighty flatline reg?
But as it sadly stands, that last newish thing they did was the Tac-One body. Cool. But I am tired of waiting for Crosby's horse to come in. I need something to go on.

Let's see buy marker in '03, it's 08... (8-3=5) but it's April, and you say he's had the SFT for 5 1/2 years....hmmmm, then you have an RT Pro for four years, and YOU SOLD IT, and your agreeing with my statement on quality, yet you SOLD A QUALITY marker, that is difficult to impossible to replace NEW.... HMMMM

Don't like SP. Don't buy their stuff. Shockers might lay golden eggs with each shot, and offer a back massage in the dead zone, but I'll never know because I refuse to give those folks my cash.

Anyone who is trying to get me to "stop hating" is wasting their time. I don't CARE how good SP products might be. Not buying any.
