    Reg question

Alright, heres the question. I've got a new flatline reg and I was wondering... can I put this on my tank myself or do I have to send it out?

If I can put it on myself without worry about royally screwing up, what would I torque it to? Any thoughts?

EDIT *Yes I am rather mechanically inclined.*

I would be inclined to have a certified airsmith do it. Not sayin you probably could not do it, but that is what I would do... Good luck getting the new reg installed

Make sure the tank is totally empty, then use a strap wrench to take the old reg off
you may have to lock the bottle in a vise, and heat the reg carefully as some of the manufacturers use red loctite
oince you get the old reg off, just screw in the flatline hand tight then give it a snugging with the strap wrench
it doesnt need to be super tight as the tank pressure will prevent it from unscrewing
alot of tourny guys only go handtight because you have to have the reg off a tank before they will let you take it on a plane
