Yup, BDU's FTW!!! You can go to the army/navy and buy something like four pair for the price of one set of "paintball" pants. Rip stop nylon and all...lol
Seriously, I have been shopping around for a pair and I am told that the JT pants are the best as far as durability. They are pricy too though and given that I will not be sliding or anything I opted for the Invert pants. Think they are actually Empire pants anyway with a different label? Not sure about that.
Now if they will actually ever come in I could let you know........

Honestly that's all i wear, or old jeans. I mean if i'm not willing to shell out 40 or 50+ bucks for a normal pair of pants, why do it for a pair that i'm only going to wear when i play paintball. Plus i got my BDUs from my friend's dad for free, and the baggy jacket has saved me from getting out on a number of occasions.Originally posted by punkncatYup, BDU's FTW!!! They have with stood endless abuse thus far. Purchased them new last season, and played the whole year, plus this season so far. As a note, i usually play every weekend, all day, lots of times both days. So far the exterior stiching looks almost brand new. No holes and i slide with the knees 95% of the time, and across some not so smooth woodsball terrain. The print hasnt faded at all either, and the only gripe i have there is that the white "Invert' letters down the side likes to hold onto the orange colored paint. Still, no big deal.
As a note, my zipper has started to tear away form the sear a bit, but dont let that fool you. I gained 15 pounds in teh off season, and i think that has something to do with it. Still just a quick stitch and im back in buisness. I wear paintball pants that actually fit (not two sizes too big as is the fashion.)
I really recommend them, Draxxus pants are uber nice too, but expensive.
Also of note, ive learned that once you play in dedicated paintball pants, you never wanna go back.

If you can find a pair of XSV's, they're amazing. The waist is incredibly adjustable (I'm using an XL I think, for the length, and I'm a 34 waist), and the padding is superb. I cannot begin to describe how much padding there is on the knees. They've also got an elastic portion right above the knee padding too so that it will give a little bit for slides or kneeling. Wonderful pants. Unfortunatly, I don't think they make them anymore...
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...
