    Anodizing Questions

Is it possible to anno the back velocity adjuster on my x valve? Possible is a bad word, as anything is possible, but is it feasible and reasonable to anno it or is it going to be tough to get it done right and still have a functioning x valve?

Also, who annos out here other than bazooka boy? I might need to talk to someone about annoing some pieces, but not a whole gun

    Thanks all

The velocity nut is stainless steel (very soft steel, I stripped the 1/8 hole in mine ). You can only anodize aluminum. However, it is not a critical part, so if you were to have one made out of aluminum, you could anodize it no problem.

You can't anno stainless, but you can put a black oxide finish on it. Same type of finish on black grip screws and set screws.

Gruntbull offers the service I believe.

Making a new velocity adjuster out of aluminium would certainly save quite a bit of weight, plus able to anno it.
