    innovation

Well as for the industry, yes sales are down a tad. But companies are still producing items and making money.

As for AGD there is not much of anything going on. The reason(my strong personnal opinion) the company is having a tough time is, there is no more innovation and no excitment. There is no executive leadership.

Therefore with that being said there is no life and AO members are going elsewhere. I have been a member for about two years and i have seen a drastic change in the member activity.

    I sure hope something changes.

    my 2 cents

So...the guy at my local field said he heard AGD is going out of business?

      Is this truth?

Man am I sick of hearing this. Pretty much all BEOers are also AOers and still post here - the ones that aren't AOers are probably just MCBers. BEO has absolutely nothing to do with the decline in membership here, and I would assume the same is true of PBL. For that matter, most of the continuing BEO/PBL split bullcrap is fabricated by AOers who don't seem to understand that two people who visit two different forums can disagree without the disagreement being based on those forums. I didn't like what was going on at PBL, so I don't go anymore; that's it. I think I speak for most BEOers when I say that we're over it - it's only ill-conceived posts like this that keep everyone from just moving the hell on.

There are only a few people that don't post on here as much as a result of that, i started posting on here more again because i know people here and PBL sort of died after a while, almost no one posts there and those that do seem to be either from the west coast (like california) or the east coast i think, there's no one around from where i am, so i can't talk about most of the stuff they talk about there. Also everyone from my field posts here pretty much.

But as for the OP, i think it has to do more with Mags not being so much in the mainstream anymore and how they aren't producing any electronic markers anymore, i mean when i joined in i think around 2006 or so it was still pretty lively but it started to die down as time went on. I think Ruler Mark also pretty much hit the nail on the head with how the economy is right now.

Oh, trust me when I say I don't really care, and that I know there's only a few people who don't continue to post here. Doesn't change the fact, however, that there was a big hooplah for a few days, or that there are people who prefer to go to different sites who used to prefer AO.
I was never too into it, mostly because I really didn't care. People who play with Mags will continue to play Mags, and that's that. I was just letting him know some of the reasons there may be a (however small) decline in usage, and where he might be able to find other Maggers.

                    Always.

                    And constantly.

Didn't you know? Every three months they go out of business, let people on the interwebs know, and then receive enough business to open shop again for another three months. Its as regular as the moon and the tides.

I just don't understand why AGD does what it does (more like "doesn't do what it doesn't do"). The mag could easily become a popular gun again, AGD just needs to advertise and revamp their website! That's all it would take, the Automag is a great gun.

When's the last time you broke down and explain your mag to someone? or better yet hand your main Mag out to be played with? Marketing is good but not as great as "Hands on experience." it is up to the Automag Owners to advertise Automags now. when you go out to the field what's the first gun you pick to go play with? for me it's my Automag. out of my four guns( RT PRO Custom w/ Z-Grip, Minimag, e-blade cocker and a shoebox shocker), my RT PRO Custom ges used 85% of the time. doesn't matter what the game is either, speedball, recball, woodsball, or scenario. someone whats to give my RT PRO a try i hand it over and go to my back up.

let me give you an example of marketing from DDay.

Both BT and Bob Long introduce their new scenario markers that week.
BT had several of their TM7 on display and both Ben and Simon were going over the features of the guns and letting the players handle and get a feel for the gun. also several players got to shoot the marker and then during the big game several where choosen to play with the TM7.
Bob Long's camp was on the other hand lacking. we got the features speach that was lacking any emotion into the product. it's got this or that. another thing is that they did not have it out on display, it was like it was not suppose to be talked about. i did get a little hands on but i will tell you this it was a sad sales pitch in my mind.

so when your brought your marker didn't you get to try it out first? i know i'm sure as hell not gonna just buy blindly. Players are salespeople, too.

Just got a really good idea with all the talk of pneumags. A intelli frame pneu doesnt take a lot of milling, so AGD does a run of milled (by luke?) intellis with everything installed and tuned. Give the option of a cp asa with lpr. You are using of the shelf components, a tried and true configuration. Sell the frame as an option with the rt ule for an extra 100 or by itself for $200. This brings a pneuframe to the masses w/o going through a bunch of hassle to get one. Plus good publicity to AGD.

This also brings up a random question what is with the people saying here is a link on how to pneu but it may have been forced to be shut down? Does SP own the patent .

I thought the patent was held by the people who were going to make the pneuframes. The ones that still haven't been made, but took pre-orders. G-frames or something. I haven't been following along, if you can't tell.

I have seen in the past couple of years, people try a simple mag as a loaner.
The next remark is, "hey this is nice, accurate, where can I get one?"
I've built 2 basic mags for these people. Also a few others got interested and now own several mags each.

It's an infectious marker. Not enough people know about them.
