Walkable Pneumag???

First off hats off to the guys that pioneered this technology: Pneumagger, Rainmann229, DW, and yes our own Cyberave68. Without these guys and others we wouldn't have the PneuMag....

There has been a lot of statements such as "I've been told to decrease the debounce because it's too fast and a pneumag is walkable. Here's my results....

What most of you know already:
Things needed (stolen from Cyberave68):
FABCO MSV-2 (WITH LEVER)- - - - - - - - (with mount screw and nut)
CLIPPARD MPA-3 (COMPLETE)- - - - - - - (CUT DOWN TO SIZE AND WITH ROD INSIDE)
2 FT. OF AIR LINE (BLACK OR CLEAR) - -
STRAIGHT FITTINGS (BLACK OR WHITE)
1 90* FOR MPA-3 (BLACK OR WHITE) - - -
2 MPA-3 MOUNTING SET SCREWS- - - - - -
1 TRIGG STOP SET SCREW
1 a LPR (Tickler, Micro Rock, etc...

To make it walkable or lighter than a 25g elctro trigger pull: mount the actuator rod as high as possible to the Fabco MSV2 arm, a ULT or a RT on/off.

if you want it even lighter with a slightly longer pull mount it up higher on the trigger as well.

I have to say that the Pneumag Cyber built for me is flawless. Walkable is an understatement.

I like it so much Ive sold off all my Emags. I truly believe that the Pneumag is the pinnacle of what can be done with the AGD family. Look ma, no batteries!

The complete set up looks pretty good there. i do see 2 things that might make your pull lighter. It looks like you could lower/tilt your MPA-3 a bit more. The lower you can get it to hit on the sear arm the better. (in my opinion) It will offer a bit more leverage. Also i have the trigg rod as high on the back of the trigg as possible too. This is another leverage advantage that makes the pull really soft. That is the reason i came up with a mag mod to combat the super soft return i got from my pneumag. Here is a pic of how i set up Mongoose's frame....

Notice about where the piston will hit on the sear arm and also where the trigg rod is on the back of the trigg....

Are you talking about the one that was just up for MOTM... Thrasher rail, LPR in an emag batteyr pack? Beautiful mag BTW. Love how you mounted the Q Loader on a warp plate!

Walkable? YES!

I used this marker at the last biggame in Mahlwinkel germany, and i overheard some refs: "is he shooting full auto?" The other ref replied: "Nah, looks like semi to me."

It rips, but it takes practice to shoot fast with it. Going too fast on my marker, and it will tend to "short stroke" But it could be improved with some more tweaking. It's fast enough for me though...

Hm, this is the exact type of thread I'm looking for. I'm looking for ideas to improve my pneumag a little, without going electro-pneu (yet). Right now it's setup into a Chimera frame with the MSV positioned so the barbs are pointed upwards so the LPR will fit (It's kinda tall). The rod hits the trigger just below where the trigger rod is mounted on a stock frame, and the MPA is perpendicular to the sear arm. Lastly, the most recent addition to my frame, is the magnets. They're mounted inside the MSV lever and on one of the MSV barbs, they're positioned to repell so the trigger pull is heavier but it also doesn't short stroke as often.

Other than the way my MPA is mounted, is there anything else I can change for my pneumag? I'm aiming for an easily walkable setup with a nice and short pull. I have the 2 trigger stops that come stock with the RPG triggers, so that's about it. If I could find my digital camera I'd take a picture of my setup to show you the insides, to get a better understanding.

What i've found trough trial and error is that the short stroking is caused by the gap between the MPA-3 ram and the sear. There should be a gap between them of about 1/8" Look at the gap as if it were dwell time, the larger the gap, the more dwell you have. Making the space to small results in short stroking the gun when rapid firing.

That is probably the best piece of advice i've heard, i've always wondered how big the gap should be.

Nice mags everyone

I love my pneumag. I kept my trigger pull stiff because that is what I liked at the time. Most people can't walk it, but when I have a few energy drinks in me (like at the scenario game earlier today) I can sustain a 12-13 bps stream. Even though I love it how it is it is going ep next week. I'm fitting an ego7 frame with a utb to make it more competitive in xball.
