    Xvalve/classic valve hybrid?

is it possible to take the rear half of a classic valve ( the reg ) and use it on the front half of an Xvalve ( bolt/sear pin etc. ) and still get the fast recharge and response that the Xvalve provides?

all my guns have a black/silver look. If I had an X-valve I would test this out but I dont have one (yet ).

No. Not even kind of. Even if they could be threaded together.

AIR Valves use a simple integrated regulator.
X-Valves use unregulated supply pressure and a feedback loop to control it.

An AIR Valve is like filling a swimming pool with the garden hose.
An X-Valve is like filling a swimming pool with a dumptruck full of water and then topping it off with the garden hose.

remove the rear half of the valve, seal off the inside surfaces. Polish exterior. Reanodize clear.

If you're looking for a black/silver valve I think they make some ReTro valves like that. Not as light as the X-Valve, but it's the colors you want and the same performance. I know the Micromag ReTro valve is that color scheme, and I think there are others out there that look like it. Check the B/S/T section, look for older valves. You can probably even make some money buying it and selling your old X-Valve, or just find someone to add cash and trade valves.
