Someone suggested on Pbn that a memorial be held at this year's world cup. I think it's a fitting idea since Sam basically made tournament paintball what it is today. Does anyone know anyone in charge?

      I Miss You Sam

I knew Sam. He gave me one of my first breaks in paintball when I was a kid trying to find a way to make some kind of living in this crazy game. My first major tournament was the Masters, run by Sam and Jim. Sam and Jim took me in and treated me well when nobody knew my name. The people I met there are still in my life today and if it weren't for Sam being the person he was, there to offer me friendship, a little advice and a foot in the door writing press releases, taking pictures and helping out with the Masters, WPF and Skyball, I would never have made it to where I am in paintball today.

I'll miss you Sam, and I'll never forget what you did for me or this game.

      Josh

PS: Warbeak I know some people in charge at Cup I'll bring it up to Lane and Keely next chance I get.

Thank you for all the kind words.

I'm sure Sam has a big smile on his face now feeling no pain, setting in front of a juicey steak, baked potato and toss salad and a cold tall dark lager. (his favorite).

Yesturday his funeral took place, his family and friends gathered on a beutiful day to celabrate his amazing life. Full of beautiful flowers, many from his paintball family, (the old guard) from all over the world; his awarding winning photograghy was hanging in the chapel. His life was full of very interesting hobbies, with many friends standing telling stories with a laugh or two. After listening, I realized Sam had a very full life, a great family, and many many close friends. He truly has been there done that, got all the t-shirts ! I'll miss him with all my heart, but I know he is on to his next big adventure.

Take care brother, we will miss you greatly, jim
