AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I use to have a differnt 1 in tip, had no problem with chronoing with the RIGHT insert.
Oh, well that explains it, I was trying to shoot it without any inserts at all. I'm glad you cleared that up. They should write that on the package someplace.
I'm may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but I'm not a moron either.

You won't have any problem getting it to chrono. In fact, the longer the tip, the more time air has to vent out of the barrel = lower fps than when it exited the freak insert. That's hard to put into typing, but I hope it makes sense.
So, I take it you've actually sat down with a chrony and checked it out? I have.
With all else being equal, meaning same gun...which in my case was both a brand new, first time out, Autococker Superstock and a seasoned 2k3 converted Sniper...same tank, same inserts (yes, I really did use an insert, and it was matched to the size of the ball, really) same paint, same time, same chrony, I was having a hard time getting the guns to shoot past 250fps. I switched to a longer Smart Parts progressive tip and it chronied fine.
"the more time air has to vent out of the barrel = lower fps" doesn't make sense to me, simply because when I tried it in real life the opposite was true. You may state it as a "fact", but I would like you to elaborate on your facts.
See, I just can't wrap my head around this idea of yours that having a longer barrel tip with holes in it is somehow going to vent more propelled gases more quickly than empty space.

Well when I shot the tip on a 1/2'd mini'd mq'd cocker, I would not hit 280+ unless the ball was slightly under-bored. I meant right as in right size not insulting you as if you didnt use one, no offense meant bro
