Who milled the rail? I love it!

What's all the milling on the back side (trigger guard side)? Is that for the board?
The grip itself looks like you might be able to sell it as a modular part for any project. If you had an adapter or one that would fit without mods you might be able to sell a few extra.Comment

Great concept! I like it. Did you consider putting the lpr vertically?Comment

I assumed it had been thought of, but it would be nice to have the LPR adjustment on the bottom of the grip.
Maybe another 1/8" NPT port a little further up would let you put a short elbow in there.Last edited by Spider-TW; 09-24-2008, 12:36 PM.Comment

I have to agree it's not pretty, but if it functions then i would have no complaints.Originally posted by Empyreal RogueUgly version of the Mini's battery grip.Il n'y a point de sots si incommodes que ceux qui ont de l'esprit.Comment

If not, than at least try to fit a 9v in there too or something?? That would make things a whole lot less cluttered in the grip frame.Comment

To answer a few questions above:
We did think of putting the LPR verticle, but we decided to go with this. You can easily adjust the tickler in the position it's in right now. As for any other LPR, maybe a different setup would be better, that's something we could possibly work out, but for the time being this was designed to use a tickler.
The battery is going to go into the gripframe most likely, but we may put it in the ep grip..we still have to do some tinkering.
The milling on the backside of the grip above the LPR is for the membrane pad and LED, it's easily accessibleComment

The rail on that marker was milled by cyberave68.
My overall concept when designing this was to have something that would house a lpr, board, and give me easy access to the lpr and membrane pad and a good location for the led light.
I also wanted something that was very comfortable and easy to customize
i thought about and also told by big E to have the lpr out the bottom, but i really dont like the idea because i tend to end up on the ground crawling around and the bottom of my emag pack always ends up muddy. The lpr that is in my prototype can be screwed in further leaving less cap exposed.
plans are also being made with Cerberus Innovations to have your own custom designs added to this piece.
If you had a choice between aluminum or clear "plastic" for the panel...which one would you choose?Comment

I'll vote plastic if you get one that is tinted and with a coll design milled into it. Clear plastic does not float my boat though.Originally posted by mongooseIf you had a choice between aluminum or clear "plastic" for the panel...which one would you choose?
If given the clear or aluminum choice, I'd say aluminum.bless, support, and never forget the troops
