    Yeah! It's working...I think

Well, I finally got around to putting my pneumag together and I'm so stoked right now I just had to post. I'm not 100% sure it's working yet since there was only enough pressure in my tank to work the pneumatics but not the valve. Hopefully I'll be able to get a fill here pretty soon and test it out. If it works as well with a full tank as it does with just what I've got in right now, I'll be more than happy.

I picked up a cyberave kit a while back and tried to install it, but I think I had the standard on/off in there (oh yeah, did I mention it's in an A.I.R. valve? ), so I just couldn't get the piston to trip the sear. Granted, I didn't put as much effort into it as I could have, but I just decided to let it go. I eventually picked up an RT on/off just to have a lighter trigger pull and didn't think about trying the kit again. I put up the kit for sale a few weeks ago because I didn't think I'd be able to use it again. You see, I now have a MicroMag and I'm runnig with a Micro Max Flo. I didn't want to tap my vert ASA, and since I don't have a bottom line asa, I didn't know how I could mount an LPR. Then I got thinking about "T" connections. I put a "T" coming out of the front of the Max Flo with the macro connection out the front and the LPR coming off the side. It's a bit ghetto, but it works, and I'm happy. I put on my own mag-mod (thank you cyber for your inginuity, sorry to rip off your idea though), and it has a nice, crisp trigger pull that is super light and probably about 2-3 mm.

I hope to have some pics up soon. I'll put them up once I get my Micro Rock I got from StayHuge. I also want to take some video, assuming everything works correctly. Thanks to all you AO'ers who think up these excellent ways of tricking out the best guns ever made.

as long as you have the ram hitting the sear, and its cycling properly now.....all I have to say is: have fun when you get the tank filled, it will be empty very quickly

the first shot will suprise you....."OMG it works"....then it will be followed by a long string of shots.....followed by "wow my tanks is empty already?!?!"

at least thats what happened with me a few times....and I was emptying sucba tanks

More stainless on the field is a wonderful thing.

There are a few nice T setups around. Other than finding the right position, I've heard you can get plated 1/8" pipe fittings from some custom car supply shops.

Everyone worries about how a pneumag works with the mpa-3 and msv, but the LPR and the plumbing are the biggest pain.

Here's a couple of pics of my setup. I'll be replacing the sledgehammer LPR with a black micro rock here pretty soon. It should streamline it a bit more.

        I love this thing!

Hey, you should have the Micro Rock soon. I shipped it out Wednesday at lunch. it was 2-5 days USPS First Class mail. When you get it, and install it, unscrew the screw almost all the way out. It should be letting out no air. Then, begin to screw it in a little at a time while pulling the trigger. You will hear the pneumatics start to activate and get stronger each 1/4 of a turn. Then the marker will start to fire. When you get it to fire, turn the knob another 1/4 - 1/2 turn, and you should be all set. This is the best way to get your pneumatics operating at the lowest psi, which will give you the best efficiency (Which isn't that great being that it's a mag) and also less wear and tear on the pneumatic parts. Feel free to drop me a PM if you have any questions or problems.

I had read the reason why dry firing a mag uses more air than shooting paint, but I am still surprised how fast the tank goes low when I've been testing a mag out.

Thanks for the info Stayhuge. I can't wait to put some paint through this thing! Does anyone have any experience using a ULT in a pneumag setup with a classic valve? I've read around that you don't want a ULT in classics because of the tendency to short stroke it, but does having the pneu change that? I picked up a ULT for a pretty good price and was trying to find a new valve to put it in. But now that I've got my pneu set up I don't think I need a new valve. I'm not really looking for a super high rate of fire, just a really light trigger.

Best bet, if you have the ULT, is to just put it in, and tune it. Should work with the Classic valve, from what I heard. You shouldn't short stroke with the Pneumag. Although, if you don't activate the MSV-2 fully, it may chuff. Really, it's all about tuning. Just make sure that your trigger is set, and the LPR is at the right psi. Then you whould be good to go.

Thanks again Stayhuge. I did get the Micro Rock on Saturday. It looks great with the gun and works even better. It's perfect that it has the quick release for the hose since it is connected to my tank, which means it will have to come off with the tank. It will save me from having to pull the hose off of the barb all the time.

As far as an update. I was able to put some air in the tank over the weekend, but only about 1k psi. I almost went crazy though because I could get the piston to push fully on the sear, but it wasn't firing. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I though the front of the sear was hitting the mpa-3, I thought it was a problem with my level X, I thought it had to do with the velocity... I just couldn't figure it out. I finally realized that the mpa-3 was too far back and it didn't give the sear enough room to move forward and fully engage the bolt. By that time I had drained my tank to less than 500 psi, so all I got was the bolt just barely moving forward, kind of like when something is in the way and the LX keeps it from firing completely. But based on all of that, I'm 99% confident I've got a fully working pneumag!!! When I was trying to get it to fire I had the LPR turned almost all the way up (I actually blew the hose off the barb a couple of times), so the trigger was very stiff and I couldn't really walk it. Once I figured out what was wrong with my setup, I was able to drop the pressure on the LPR to almost nothing and I was able to take my trigger for a nice little walk.

I've always said that I don't need an RT type valve because I'm really not looking for huge rate's of fire, just a really nice trigger pull. But after seeing how easy it is to move that trigger, I may have something new on my Christmas wish list.

Been a while in the making, but I finally got to go out and actually played with my MicroPneu this weekend. In fact, I had never actually fully tested it until I got to the field. I was so happy when I gassed it up and there were no leaks! Pulled the trigger a few times, man, it was so sweet! After shooting a mag for about 13 years, I never thought I'd be able to get such an awesome trigger. I never had any problems with it whatsoever, and at the end of the day with nearly a full hopper, I unloaded on some bunkers. The string was sick. My Level 10 was working great too as it pinched a few balls and went right back. I'm having trouble walking it though. I don't know if it's my setup or my clumsy fingers. But I really don't care, it shoots plenty fast for my style, and I love the lightness of it. That being said, does anyone have any tips on getting the trigger to be more walkable. I've got a mag mod in there right now, but it still seems like the return is a bit sluggish. This is seriously the last gun I think I'll ever need. That is of course until PTP gets their new Micros out, hopefully soon.
