The aluminum part, of course. Has anyone here done this before?
Has anyone ever anodized their retro valve?

That's what I was thinking. I haven't heard of anyone doing it before. The only concern I have is the tolerences. I've heard of a coat of anodization messing up tolerences on screw-in things. Anyone know if this will affect the tolerence of where the aluminum part screws in to the rest of the valve?

Lapco doesn't, or at least didn't in the past, anodize the threads on their barrels. I think I'll try it, and just have them leave the threads as they are.

The Retro Valve regulator body is hard anodized to withstand the wear from the stainless velocity adjuster. If you get it anodized, the entire surface area will have to be anodized so the inside will get coated changing the tolerances and covering the hard anodizing.

BTW, hard ano only comes in black and green.

Yeah, they come in a boring flat black. Glossy black would contrast the stainless valve body real nice. I polished up my valve body and am itching to get rid of the boring flat black.

I dunno but if its possible I will go on record of requesting AGD change to Black for sure. Goes with everything.

Not that I have it in front of me, but I remember mine being black, and not brown.
Looking at a pic of my stuff it looks slightly grey if anything, but not brown. I would love green or chrome/nickle/shiny. Trying to ge rid of black on my gun.
AGD please sell me (for a reasonable price) a ReTro Valve back. I won't mess up my original that way, but I could play with one. And if I ever have problems I'll try my original valve back before I ask for an ounce of support.
