Actually, I did read the post. what I took exeption to was the comment, repeated twice, "No snipers in paintball". The rest I took to be what his perception of paintball is. His perception may not be the same as his friends, and certainly is not the same as mine.
When people refer to'Paintball' I think of the whole sport, not speedball or woods. If he had said "No snipers in speedball" I would have agreed with him. This is not what he said.
This would be similar to a college football fan saying, "There are no payed athletes in Football". That statement would be incorrect as we all know that proplayers are payed quite well. The statement, "There are no payed players in college football" would be correct.
Please keep in mind that there is more than one aspect of our sport, and that paintball in any form is a good time.

I should have been clearer. 2 or 3 shots at 25 to 30 yards. More than one to allow for wobbles from out of round paintballs. This is at a 4 to 6 inch large target. Sure classes as sniping in my book. It is more difficult than a shot at 150 yard shot at a deer I guarantee you.Comment

The Whole Sniper Thing...
The basic flaw in your friends arguement is the snipers sit in the back. This is not true. Everything I''ve ever read or seen concerning snipers, has said that they tak a two man team, and usually head deep into enemy territory. That's quite the opposite of your friend's definition.Comment

I have a guy on my team named marcus, if anyone ever played my guys, you all know him...in a regular woods game, he will go off by himself, and u wont hear from him until 10 mins into the game. he shoots and moves, but wil sit in a new sopot until someone is well in range. he fires 2 shots, and immediatley moves withthe chaos and comotion. he doesnt use a pump, he doensnt use a flatline, he has a cocker with a 16" boomie, and a huge scope. the scope is not for aiming, but more for seeing the whole picture. once he has eliminated enough of the enemy defense, he radios me on positions, and who is having any delays, reloading, jammed gun, broken ball, etc...we advance on these bunkers and surrender these players first, now all that is usually left is a few guys which take a couple seconds to tag out.
Marcus can play the game in a way most cant. He is very quiet, tactful, and knows his marker well enough to hit his target within 2 shots. he is well camoflaged, and you cant see him if you looked directly at him. He is a sniper. And I bet any team cannot hit him, purely out of the skill he hasComment
