    Drop Forward Inquiry

I'm sure this has been asked before, But I couldn't find the thread.

I just got a Y-frame. I would like to know the best type of Drop forward to use with this style of frame.

    Thank you.

it really depends on what you want and the size of the tank you use. I don't use a Y or Z grip but I'm a big fan of drops in general. Everyone likes something different so you are pretty much going to have to take your total setup to the proshop and try a few out.

        it is all preference.

You could get a fairly good idea from some pictures though.

Here is a y framed mag I had the pleasure of shooting once.

It had a pretty good sized drop and a flatline I believe. You can see how close the marker is to my body.

I can get some better specs on the setup for you if you think it would help.

        OR

You could make some cutouts with cardboard. Of different sized drops. Make a cutout of your tank. Put it all together just to get a feel for where you want your tank to sit and how close to your face you want the valve.
