Minimag Production dates, numbers?

Ok, I am a little iffy on this info and wanted to know for myself.

When did prodution of the Minimag officially START and when did it officially STOP?

Wasn't there a break in production around 2000 or so when people said that AGD discontinued it and then they started it up again for a last batch?

Also, how many Minimags were finally made? Mine is serial number: MM18583

...pretty sure that's somewhat dated now though. Didn't they stop production on the classic and the mini just recently?

I think I got mine in 94 and its serial #2808.
