1999 my friend from high school invited me. I bought a SL 68 II. Shot like crap but reliable as hell.

My first was a Spyder TL+ that I bought to go play the first time. Shortly followed by my first Black Magic cocker. Many other since then. Many more to come.

My first gun was a Tippmann Prolite, circa 95-96, as solid and trusty as you could ever get. However, this was in the days when mags and cockers still ruled the fields, and the older guys toting them, clad in tigerstripe, were to be greatly feared...
My brother and I were on a trip back to Central California from Long Beach, CA when we stopped at a field that was just south of Magic Mountain on I-5. I always carried my marker in the car (original Spyder with ceramic barrel). We saw about 7 or 8 guys all dressed in tiger camo and carrying AC's and Mags. Those were the best guns on the market at that time. I asked one of them what team they were on and was told they weren't a team.

I proceeded to take 3 of the 8 out in the ensuing game. They wiped like window cleaners. I was so mad at the field refs for letting them get away with it right in front of them. After the game was over, I advised the field owner I wouldn't be playing with cheats on his field any longer and we were leaving. One of the guys came up to me and asked if my brother (who they shot out from behind cover just as the ref said go) and I would join their team!

What a bunch of losers. The opposition they were facing that day prior to us arriving: 10 and 11 year old kids on a birthday party. I think our game was the 8 of them versus 15 or so of us (myself, brother, and kids). I can't stand cheaters.

My first purchase and use was a mail order marker I got back in 1989 while in college. A bunch of us would play outlaw at night around the campus. They where buying the plastic splat masters but I thought that metal was a superior material so I opted for the more expensive Nel-Splat 007 with the extended barrel tip and pump handle. Still have it and looks just like the day I bought it. I can remember buying 10 round tubes of paint for 10-20 cents a ball... Ah, those where the days.

Once I left college I never really played again for about 10 years... until a co worker let me use his spyder; that spurred me to buy a Tippy A5 and then I got my AGD Tac One and have since turned into a Automag Whore... I just sold the Tippy last month.

              creating an addiction

First day of paintball i used a sling shot against several spatmasters and there was one semi think it was around 93.
When all my friends got semis i got to use a handme down splatmaster. Stop playing for a while even though i really wanted to get my own marker. First self owned marker was a tippmann a5, then i got a sydarm that i wore as a backup, i remember one day being the last one man left surrounded by 4 opponents dual wielding untill i ran out of ammo, last ball got the last guy, I win. The sydarm enabled me to find AO from there i build my first mag:
xvalve, chimera, qloader, which i parted to create my current mag: the hypermagit, 13bps hyperframe w/microswitch, alpha rail, xvalve ult, dw grip &barrel ,IT body. Building another mag now.

1st gun was an ACI F4 illistrator. & a PGP
                  2nd PMI piranha
                  3rd Tippmann 98(before there was a custom)
4th my first mag, classic mag, giant drop forward on it. later an r/t valve
5th traded the mag for a bushmaster BKO
6th sold the BKO, threw some money with it, bought a brand new '03 cocker, dust blue in color
7th cocker left, a year or so later i bought a classic timmy with clamshell
8th traded the clammy'd timmy for an E-Cocker, (i miss this gun alot.
9th sold off the e-cocker to do something, i forget what. then i bought a classic mag that i put a intelli frame on it.

also in there somewhere is a:
                  targa (classic spyder clone)
                  Black Maxx
                  Tigershark
a cocker wich i pieced together from people's used parts.
and a whole slew of parts.

I don't remember what my first was. Some pump at an indoor. It was around '92/'93, maybe a tippman? My first gun owned was a Stingray. My brother got two for his birthday, but we only had one mask. So two people took the guns and another person wore the mask and had to make it across my back yard without getting hit. I don't know why anyone agreed to it, but everyone wore the mask, and most everyone got pounded.

                      Since then:

                      Sypder compact
                      Tippman Pro-lite
68 AutoMag Classic, NIB in '95, which has since evolved into a Y-Framed MicroMag RT, I still have the original rail, body and trigger frame, but none of them look like they did when purchased.

Tippmann 98 Custom in 2001. I have owned over 30 markers since then, and currently have:

                        .68 AutoMag
                        CenterFire MiniMag with AutoResponse frame
                        ICD Promaster
                        Nelspot 007 w/ battle grips
A Spyder, back when they were just plain "Spyders"
                        My feedback

Made in USA - it matters.
