After trying to read through the sludge on PBN, I have a question. Does the new ROF only apply to ramping, or does it universal regardless of what mode you are shooting in? Is 10bps ramping better than unlimited semi? Or does an unlimited semi leave the door open for cheating?

Why not just get rid of the damn ramping all together? They have deemed higher rates of fire 'bad', so why make it so easy to hit the rof cap?
They are just talking about the ramping speeds. Most of the kids over at PBN want to keep ramping since that means that they don't have to pull the triggers everytime. But they claim that ramping levels the playing field (but so does full auto).

Because stopping ramping is darn near impossible. Capping ROF is much easier.

I was trying to read through that thread over there, but was unsuccessful. Sometimes PBN can be as painfull as shaving your grape sac with a potato peeler, well maybe I did see a bunch of the agglets yelling how lowering the rof was 'going backwards' and some of them even cried that they werent going to play anymore

I think that the people who's parents pay their paintball bill should NOT be allowed to voice opinions

Im very glad to see this, I think the entire thing should be 10 bps though.

I personaly like the direction they are taking. I think this will make people actualy show more skill instead of just laning everygame. The sadest thing to see on a speedball field is a bunch of people all camped behind different bunkers trying to lane each other for 20 minutes and all of them afraid to get lit up if they move up (granted this doesnt always happen but it does happen more often then it should). Remember when tournements use to be stock class only? This decision is only going to better the sport.

I think it should be pure semi only. mech or elec. dont worry about bps.

It WAS like that for a moment. Trigger "debounce" was the argument of the time. At least capped ramping, or semi as these numbers reflect make sure that everyone shoots the same ROF and is easily detectable.

I personally do not like the concept of playing a tourney with that low a ROF. Not my choice, I just have to do it if I choose to play the series. I would like to think I have somewhat of a head start, as that is what I am used to shooting from "back in the day" when my gear was capable of no more.

Stock in revi's should go up.

I agree. In this day and age there HAS to be a way to ensure guns shoot legal, but fast fingers is still considered a skill.

I'd like to see a 15bps cap for electros and no cap for mechanical with single trigger pull single shot and no debounce coupled with 400 rounds on the field per player.

Sounds like this is perfect for pneumags.

But you cant cap the BPS on a pnue so I cant see how they would be allowed.
See I agree it should be just semi auto and forget the BPS so mechs can play.

I have heard an idea before on limiting the hopper. only use gravity feed hoppers. IMO it would be kinda fun.

yeah i was just going to mention that, there are talks from the insurance companies to get rid of electro hopper on the fields. what better way to limit everyone, mech and electro guys.
Do ya think the electro wave is over now, or at least slowed down? Maybe we'll see a push for mech's now to lower price of the markers, AGD could make a comeback......that's my hope.

might be time to unload your electro's guys, prices could tank......who knows........
