    vert feed barrel compatability

got a question, thought maybe you guys could clarify. i got a powerfeed left, but i'd like to get a vert feed. got a freak and a boomstick. there is an another track (dunno what to call it) on the barrel that i always thought was for the vert feeds. but i keep hearing that nobody makes barrels for vert feed Emags and RTs. is that other track for powerfeed rights and standard feeds or what? just checkin, thanx guys.

if it is a "T" groove you can use that in vert feed bodies. damageinc54 i think also mills barrels for vert feed bodies, if its an "L" design. BOA, J&J, smart parts, and i think DYE will all make a vert feed barrels but you have to call them up and ask them and order factory direct. not all that of a hassle.

I can mill any L slot barrel to work on a centerfeed mag. A T slot mag barrel will line up with the centerfeed body, but I DO NOT recommend using it. There is no hole for the twist lock to fall into on a T slot barrel for a centerfeed mag. As you shoot the gun the barrel WILL move because there is nothing holding it in place. I mill a new hole for the twist lock to fall into so that the ball drop hole lines up with the centerfeed. Look at the pic and notice the new hole to the left of the north/south slot. Email me for prices and shipping info if you are interested.

One question. Can u put vert feed barrels on a p/f mag. I was sent one by mistake. To put the barrel on all I have to do is slide it on..no turning.

If you do not have a hole for the twist lock to fall into to lock the barrel it will move on you as you shoot. Does not matter what type of feed you have. What brand of barrel did they send you? I may be able to help you out.

It is a cp. I bought it off of paintballinc. The balls will still drop in. I just wanted to make sure I could use it.

If the barrel is not actually locking in place I would not use it. You should call them and get the right barrel. Your barrel will move if the twist lock is not engaged!!!!

                  T slots

So do you also mill in a hole in a T slot barrel?
It's not clear in your above message...

I could mill a hole in the T slot easily. I am not going to guarantee that the barrel will stay put though. I have not tried one in my own gun for the fear that the barrel will move out of the twist lock because there is nothing in front of it. If you wanted it done I would be happy to do it for you, but is at your own risk.
