AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Looks like what SP did to their valves. Sort of an internal version of the magic box. I think the claim was that it would lower pressure hitting the ball which in turn would cause it to wobble less in flight and therefore add 10 to 20 feet distance. YMMV
I dont think it is ANS as it has micromag written on it and the MM01438. The front half looks normal. I just never have seen one like this.
A small shop that used to be in Brooklyn NY did something similar called the "Vortex Mod". Im not 100% sure that is their work though. The standard Vortex mod they did had a couple of more holes drilled in the reg half, along with similar milling on the other half.

I have one of the back parts your talking about. Mine is black and says "Vortex" on it.
I also have another one called the "Hurricane" valve. They both pretty much work/dont work the same way.
All that is, is a mod done to increase the flow of c02 in the old air valves back in the day. First it was i extra hole, then 3, then 4 then all the way up to ten. Smart Parts offered this mod as did a few other companies back in the early AGD days. Due to HPA being the norm nowadays, it is pretty much in-effective, since air doesn't need room to expand. Most people agreed that it didn't do anything other then void your warranty, however, it made me a believer after a night game in below freezing temps and my mag with the 8 hole mod was the only mag that didn't freeze up during the game, everyone else went back to Tippmanns and syphon tanks.

Actually, Smart Parts contracted AGD to do that to the valves. AGD supplied all the valves to Smart Parts and modified them to Smart Parts specs.
It's not an ANS phase II as I have one. The ANS is milled all the way out so from cut outs you can see top of the piston. As this one isn't. It's just milled to make volume larger
this looks home made (professionaly done though) by a shop. I've never seen this kind of mod to a valve before.
