How would you even start a project like that? I think you would have to find an Euro X-Mag body to even have enough meat on it to be able to mill it all off??

you would just need to start with a large chunk of aluminum. Make the whole thing from scratch. Xmagterror could put one together without a problem. But it would take a lot of $$$$

He has already produced a great unibody mag body. So the internal portion is already done. But the exterior would require a whole lot of coding.

What programs do most CnC'ers use? Autocad or something like that?

I really like the sketched ones. I sometimes have looked at those sketches for inspiration when I have a block.

Any of those would be better started as a raw block of aluminum. Much cheaper than a xmag body to start with. And the big plus if something goes wrong you dont kill a xmag.

It could take hours upon hours of Cad work to make any of those especially the lion ones. Possible yes. Really depends on how much experiance & time you have to do it. Or money if your paying someone. Going from 2d sketches to 3d is far more difficult than most people think. A example of time spent on CAD files would be the Shockwave Unibody. I had well over 50 hours of design time into it before we turned it unibody, stopped counting after that.

As for what CAD program. I use Solidworks to do the design from there Xmagterror takes the files & works his magic on them with his programs. There is some more programing needed for the mill. I would say you could accomplish the same thing with other programs (inventer, pro-e, etc) Im mostly familar with Solidworks.
