Milling: Am I cutting off too much?

Mkay, so I'm about to send out my E-mag to a certain someone here for some work. I'm having break beam eyes installed and eye covers fashioned (thanks to Chris Nearchos for the eyes and XMag terror for taking the install job ). I'm also gonna have a little bit more milling done, but my question is, I don't want to take off too much...Are all these areas safe to cut on?

First, mill three grooves like these on the valve. One on top, one left, one right side. The right side will be shorter on account of the macro fitting, red indicates the outline of the cut:

Sorta like the milling done here:

Also, wanna cut out this chunk on the frame:

Mill two gills on either side of my body like this:

My ULE rail wasn't bottomed out:

I want it to be bottomed out and cleaned up a bit like this:

Mill down the area where the jewels were to get rid of that silly looking depression:

Mill the sight rail holes off my rail like this:

Last, mill some depressions into the rear of the frame:

So, is all of this doable, or am I being a bit too ambitious with my milling?

i dont see a problem with the frame, rail or body milling, it has all been done before, as far as the valve milling..well zak is the only one known to have done it, and i guess as long as you dont mill anything that would affect the tolerances to the body im assuming you should be fine

the cut inside the trigger guard will probably expose the hole from the twistlok though.

actually, as long as you stay flush with the outer surface you will be good to go. Wink wink

also, the only thing when cutting one of them off is the stress from the battery pack. BUT...I did something to my special "x" mag that took care of that problem while taking 1 pound of weight off.

New battery? I plan on getting one of your Li-ion packs soon. What did you do?

oh, just an idea along the line of this:

btw, this would only work with a Li-ion battery setup.
