    My first Automag

I used to play paintball 10 years ago when I was in high school. I lost interest for quite a while but now I'm hoping to get back into it. My first gun was an original Spyder, which I still have. I always wanted an Automag, so when the opportunity arose, I snagged one. I've had it for 1 month and have already changed it quite a bit from how I received it. It's funtional now, but I do want a level10 bolt at some point. I've been reading through since site since I got it and now it's ready for its debut. Here are the pics.

I'll second that. Looks good, I know it's personal preference, but I'd flip that drop forward. I love a gun that tight up against my shoulder. Have fun tearin' it up.

I originally had the drop forward, facing...forward. It put the tank right into my wrist and made the marker awkward to grip. Instead of buying a different rail, I tried flipping it around, it's much more comfortable on my wrist and puts the marker at good distance from my shoulder.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the tank being right in your wrist, that is pretty bothersome.

That's from the tight grip on the single trigger frame. I just realized that I don't shoot any single trigger frames with a bottom bottle. All my bottom bottle markers are double frames because I bend my wrist out (not that I'm any good with a double).

I actually just received the molded grip from Tuna, yesterday. It had the original plastic sides, the new grip is a vast improvement for comfort.

I have a thing for SS Big Shots. I have one on my Spyder, too. Someone had about 5 listed on eBay for the automag for $30/piece. I can't wait to get the tank filled and shoot it.

The first thing you need to do is take off that asa and throw it away, then you need to get some auto lube blessed by Tom Kaye and sprinkle it on your gun then you can put on a different non-smartparts asa. WELCOME TO THE MAG WORLD

I've been using 3n1 oil for the longest time. I briefly had an autococker in 2000 right before I finally left the sport. The autococker manual recommended 3n1 or "sewing machine" oil. I've been using 3n1 for my Spyder since then and I've rebuilt my mag using it, also. Has anyone had any bad experiences using it with their mag?
