    "Rare" Automag?

I picked up my minimag from a local field. It originally had a center - fed stainless steel mainbody, and a special minimag valve. On top of the regulator, there is a laser engraving. It says - "Center Fire 'Mag 0168". There is also a laser - engraved symbol on top of the valve area, above the airport - "C/F." I have also noticed that the airport is on the right side of the gun, instead of the left side on a "normal" minimag. The guy that sold it to me said they were rare. Are these really that rare?

Talk to Mann, he may know a bit more about it. The air port on the right side is normal though, the left side is the uncommon "reverse" valve.

Have a pic of it? I'm leaning towards the "it's not rare, but not common" answer.

The CF valves are the same as the other stainless steel valves. I don't recall ever seeing a centerfeed minimag body though.

The right side air line is the normal side. It's the left side that's less common.

centerfire is a private lable that distributed automags with their stamp on it.

Similar to the promag and some of the other private labels. Its not too common, but not super rare either.

Centerfeed minimag bodies are IMO rare. I have seen less than 12 of them sold here in the past 4 years, but it is something that not worth a whole lot as most would prefer the ule body.

Sometime along the way centerfire put pump kits on their markers. I purchased my centerfire centerfeed mag with the original box. Not sure who assembled the marker, but they were made, and distributed them in white boxes that were similar to automag boxes.

boy I probably shouldn't have thrown mine away. Or sold my pump, but it happens. My viking shoots better than my agd pump ever did.

Here it is. It is not stock - I put on macroline and a shocktech asa. The gun came in a white box with a manual and automag tech video. It came with a steel braided hose and a normal direct mount asa.

It's not a minimag, it's a ule body with clamping feedneck. Nothing rare about it, but nice marker none the less.
