Automag performance vs. others guns?

Im just wondering how the Automag performs compaired other guns (cockers,angels,Spyders,Tippman,ect..)?

Im a newbie and just ordered an Automag online. I shot a Minimag in the past and it was GREAT! Are these guys paying $1300. for a stock gun going to have a huge advantage over me, or just the opposite for the dudes with the cheaper guns? I usually play paintball aggressively instead of chilling in the back.

Im getting the TKO Mag off of actionvillage.com with a nirto tank.

You're pretty much set for a mid performance gun... Get a retro valve for your mag and you've got a high performance mechanical. The mag can compare with most anything depending on what you have on it and how you take care of it.

If you get a retro, intelliframe or hyperframe, and nice barrel you can probably hang up there with the electros.
With what you have now you have a nice pb gun. Something close to a stock 2002 cocker.

Automags are around Tippmann Model 98 preformance. It's a really great entery level marker. It's extreamly durable and reliable.

Well it's not as fast as high end electronics, it depends if you believe higher rate of fire can amke you a better player. Some people think it's easier to tag someone with more balls flying at em, some thing it's just pure player skill.

I think mags are better than the tippman guns. Just my opinion.

The mag is great and was competitive for me for many years. I just got an rt for 400 buks. It was exactly what i wanted so hay.

Neather gun can fire as fast by a person as an electro. But i play with abunch of guys with angels and matrixesn and my rate of fire is definatly up there. if you dont want an electro gun and still want a high rate of fire get the retro valve. You wont have to worry about being totaly out gunned. You wont with a mag eather but a retro is definatly faster.

Mags are great guns. They can be upgraded to be anywhere from entry level to high end......As for a TKO, it should do pretty deacent. I forget if they have PF or not, if they do, it should last ya awhile.

Where I played today every single, and I mean ALL of the players, had angels. When I lost, it was not because of the Automag. It was me. But that (losing) didn't happen often because those guys with angels were about as good at paintball as I was, if that. Take the money you didn't spend to buy something very expensive, and go play. Play a lot. Someday you may feel the need to go buy an Emag or an angel, but you should be fine for a long while.

Are Emags just as good as angels, or better?.... And are Angels that good?

I say screw those dude with their $2000. guns and high fire rate I played with a tricked out mag along time ago and i owned with it compared to the Tippman rental i was used to.
