    LP reg. question..

Thinking about picking up a LP reg.(Crossfire). I have read on different forums that, depending on your marker, it may have some benefits over an HP reg. But, I have also read that shoot down may be a problem. Is this correct or just a problem with older regs.?

The two markers it would be used on are a Cyborg and Viking. I'm mostly concerned about starving the marker and if that could potentially be a problem, I'd just opt for a HP.

    Thanks.

The required output pressure of the tank regulator depends on the required input pressure of the gun it is to be used on. There should always be about 200 psi difference between the tank output pressure and the gun input pressure requirements in order to maintain a good flow rate. So, if the crossfire outputs about 450 psi and your guns require 250 psi or lower, then you are good to go and shouldn't experience any shootdown.

Most guns have regulators on them that actually take the input pressure down to the operating pressure of the gun. The only real benefits of a lower pressure output, would be the ability to shoot lower into the tank. That would only give you a few extra shots vs a 800 psi output tank.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

As far as I know crossfires have the fastest recharge rate of any HPA tank... at least that's what is claimed

Unless you have a gun that specifically calls for LP - which I dont think any have since the Angels years and years ago... you are better off just getting a high pressure tank that you can use on anything.

LP tanks server no real benefit aside from being a little easier to screw off guns that dont have an on/off ASA on them.
