    Hate ULT??

Am I the only one who Hates ULT's

Over the past few weeks I have been working on getting all my Mags up and running.

In the process I attempted to tune two ULTs I could never get it right either it was not shimmed enough for the On Off to work or it was running away from me. I finally gave on it and totally redesigned the project to get around the ULT.

Last PM I took out one of my pneumags and it was running away. Put in a standard on off and it works great.

Also a few months ago I sent out a pneumag for some final teaks. In the end the guy doing the work could not get it to run well with the ULT and his solution was to use a standard on/off as well.

Is it just me or is the ULT more trouble than it is worth??

If a pneu is running away, then you have the ram a tad too close to the sear leg. When the gun is aired up they shouldnt touch. From what you describe, it sounds like the sear is bouncing off the ram.

      Thanks Evil

Have a followup to try and increase my level of knowlege regarding this issue.

Why does putting a standard On/Off fix the problem??

      Thanks

The force needed to move the sear is less, so it makes bouncing it like that easier. If you put a shorter on/off pin in the RT on/off it might do that as well. You could also try removing shims from the ult to see if that works.

            ULT Yes !

            Love them.
I've had one in all my mech mags.
It is possible that if you get the level 10 tuned to the Nth degree
and the ULT tuned to the Nth degree, to two finger walk a mech like an electro.
I've gotten a couple Xvalves to do it before although it takes a mountain of patience.
It helps to have a higher than normal input PSI too.

I had some trouble with mine. The top oring was very tight. I couldn't figure out where to get more, so I used a buna oring from a timmy kit. It worked, but it still didn't fix my chuffing.

If you want to make a ult nice and walkable you need to 'unlearn' what you know about mags. Less is more, meaning, less input pressure is the way to go.

Never worked for me. Started chuffing from not recharging fast enough.
Higher than 800 has always worked best for me.

ULT = Good times. I've had ULTs in all my RT Pros and it's been awesome. Throw on a nice HPA tank with a consistant reg @ 800-850 psi output and you can easily have a walkable mech!

It takes patience to get them tuned just right sometimes. Patience & air...

Seems to only work with Dynaflows and Flatelines.

My crossfire 800 PSI reg works great with ULT... they are both running pneu frames, but I'm not sure that changes anything.

I use a HP Crossfire, no issues, always shoots great! No pneuframes for me, just Intelliframes with RPG Splinter triggers.

If your ULT is running away try to remove a shim. For ultimate tunning you can use L10 and ULT shim mix.....
