    ULE Twistlock Body?

Has anyone ever thought of doin an aluminum twistlock body? Would there be any reason it wouldnt work?

It might be possible to just file down the threads and drill a hole for the T/L pin...

it would be alot of work.

Remember that twistlock bodies had the paintballs drop directly into the barrels,
      Ule body does not.

      Doable, but lots of work.

I'm just curious why you would want to do such a thing. The SS twist lock bodies aren't noticeably heavier than the ULE bodies... or do you just want the luxury of being able to ano the body and keep the twist lock?

well, just thought it'd be uber awesome to be able to have somethin along the lines of a euro bodied twistlock:P
but yea, weight isnt really an issue for me, i still use a steel boomstick:P

i think that would be pretty cool! i honestly hate the AC threading and the ability to just twist the barrel in was a major turn on for me when i started using mags.....i wasn't a fan of the TL bodies appearance however and decided to just suck it up and get a ULE. it is unfortunate that we cant have both.

Why would you want to ? The whole point of the ULE body, at least to me, is to get a real barrel and do away with the crappy twist lock barrel system . I hate those things !

With quality barrels, the fact that the breech/control bore are one item can be really helpful. As long as you keep a good, strong spring in the lock pin mechanism and keep it tightened, you avoid a lot of the hassle. Something about being able to remove and clean your entire barrel and breech with just a twist and a pull has always appealed to me.

With Level 10 and a decent loader you won't need to clean your barrel...

main reasons i like twistlocks is due to quicker removal (yes its only a minor thing, but a thing none the less:P), the bore/breach thing, and the barrel is overall shorter, 14" starts at the breach, rather than an inch or so ahead of it, which I like, others might not care.

Only downsides I see to twistlock: selection, and interchangability (like having guns without twistlock)

I know a lot of people prefer threaded barrels, but not ev1 does, n isnt owning a mag all about having something that matches one's own preferances? The option to be able to go with an aluminum body without losing other options would be nice imo.

(i actually like the e-mag style bodies more the ule, but the kartas n euros are just incredible, so kinda sad we cant get that kind of body in twistlock)

                        Twist

This makes me want to go buy a center feed twistlock body and get a boomstick!

i hear the guy, my dream setup includes a twistlock. although it shouldn't happen ball breaks do happen. and sitting on the field trying to undo a barrel really sucks. plus the sound it makes when you pull it out just sends a chill down people's spines .
