E-tek clamping feedneck on direct feed automag?

Seems like E-tek 1 feednecks have clamping mechanism both for the feed and hopper. Does anyone know if I can get that feedneck and stick it onto a direct vertical feed of automag body, will it fit?

    Yes... kinda'...

I have one mounted on my centerfeed MiniMag. The o.d. of the body feedneck is a little too small for the i.d. of the ego feedneck. what i did was cut a ring (about 1/2") from a 3/4" copper pipe. I then cut that ring in half to make a spacer/shim.
Fit the spacer against the side of the body feedneck, place ego feed over that and clamp it down.
To keep the feed from turning or wobbling, I had to clamp it down all the way so that both edges of the feedneck pressed together.
    It's very secure now :)

I'll try to post pics at some point... but you can find a pic of my MiniMag in the March MOTM-entry thread (sadly, it didn't make the cut for voting)

*edit: it just occurred to me that you may have been referring to the AGD low-rise vert feed twist-lock body. I do not know if the same rules apply.. I only have experience w/ the centerfeed MiniMag body

I just put an 05/06 ego feedneck on a Luke's vert feed mod. I used 0.023 brass sheet to shim the fit. It's a very nice fit, but it has not seen paint yet. My local ACE hardware has the hobby brass display (K&S, K&N...? K&N is air filters, eh) which has a variety of thicknesses and sizes. Of course, you need something to cut with.

No, TwilightG, you're right, I was referring to classic feeds, like centerfeed, powerfeed, and direct. I am thinking of getting the vert feed mod for the classic right-feed body, then adding the Ego clamp and running with winchester hopper.
Glad to hear it's doable, thanks for answers!

I used 3 orings on mine to tighten it up. I forget which sizes they are, but it works very well.

the metal strap from an automotive hose clamp works perfect as a shim/spacer to get the feedneck to clamp tight
havent had mine even wiggle since I did it
