    DM3 deal?

    Is this a deal?

    Did I get a deal?

What should I look out for as far as right off the bat maintenance? This will be my first spooly.

I would say it was a decent deal. You were on the better end of deals that go around for those, I have seen them a touch less in various shape.

Get a full o-ring kit from TMC or the like. You can buy one of the "universal 10x" kits pretty cheap. Get some good grease. I prefer Dow 33, however there are plenty of good grease based lubes out.

Get your LPR and dwell set right and leave them alone. Keep fresh batteries in it, and clean it from time to time. It will leak in very specific places according to what o-ring needs replaced.

If you care, find an Evolve gold bolt for better efficency. It will probably cost you as much as the marker did in the first place.

Enjoy. The "Vintage" Matrix is a great marker.

Those things are so heavy, they have absolutely no kick lol. Definitely pick up some o-rings and some good grease. Hater 2.0 sauce is fantastic.

EDIT: Just found this on the bay:

        http://cgi.ebay.com/Evolve-Gold-Bolt-for-Matrix-DM3_W0QQitemZ160341130755QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Def aultDomain_0?hash=item2555137e03&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|240%3A13 18|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

        Friggin great price.

I loved all my vintage trixes just because they were ridiculously solid, quiet and had so very little kick.

If I was to pick a "speedball" gun to take into the brush this one is waaay up there.

Hey thanks for that ebay tip. I will have to watch that closely.

What other upgrades are nice for these guns? I see that AKA and Palmers make lprs for the DM3. Are they worth it?

Edit: I cant seen to find an oring set on TMC? What other places would carry them?

I have a spare angel threaded breech that takes screw in detents, an Evil Pipe kit (Old Angel), and a almost new AKA SCM3 LPR, and some other odds and ends I am parting with...

I'm heading out to shoot folks now though, so I'll have to get you the rest of the info and the prices and pics later on.
