in my area (NH) woodsball and speedball is thriving. There have been a few local avenues that have opened up to "monday night BYOP" which is nice since I have mondays off from work

Around here, I guess it would be according to who you asked.
Tourney ball seems to be going strong. The series was close to, if not turning teams away last month.
Rec ball has been pretty slow. I think that has a lot more to do with the heat than anything.
Personally, I turned to working with the local field in order to support my paintball habit, erm I mean hobby.Comment

My wife is struggling to find work and I took a $10k paycut. It's getting hard to foot the bills. That said, no, I didn't stop balling. I just switched to stock class play until my funds will allow me to shoot more. Local woodsball is pretty big right now, not sure about tourny ball.Comment

haha its funny cuz hes not from america haha.Originally posted by jade_monkey07why whats wrong with the economy?
but anyways, i dont see anything wrong with it. Its the perfect time to buy sell and trade
everything is selling cheap, trading always goes in your favor, and in a year or two the economy will drive back up and you can sell everything for much higher.
But i play at least every other weekend. college and a job cant hold me down!Comment

Ouch man, I know how that feels. My wife and I both got laid off in January.Originally posted by SN toterMy wife is struggling to find work and I took a $10k paycut. Fortunately we're both back working, and probably in better places, but the transition wasn't fun, no not at all.
That said it looks like things have settled down enough that I can resume playing about once a quarter, yay!
