Wow what an amazing day!!! We all had a blast (but wished we could have gotten more games in but oh well) and Jon is just nutz! Honestly, one of the nicest guys I ever met, and just a riot to be around. Definetly gotta do it again sometime!!! It was a privaledge to play with such great players today.

cute pics but I got one serious complaint.

WHERE ARE THE MASKS PEOPLE!!!

I'm sorry but there is just no sort of excuse for being around a loaded and gassed marker without your gogs on. Especially with those young'ins there too.

My son is 3, almost 4, and he love to watch me fix and work with my markers but as soon as I gass them up on go our masks. I made him one from my old skull and a PASGT plastic replica. That way his whole head is protected.

This really bother me because the one time someone gets hurt from this is when we lapse for a moment.

Please guys. I'm all for comraderie and bringing in the "next generation" but let's teach them safety first and foremost.

It's just like when I started shooting guns as a young kid. My friends father, who taught us all how to shoot, was a true hard@$$ when it came to gun safety. I may of hated him for making me miss my turn at the .22 because of some small but crucial detail I overlooked last go around but I thank him now.

Remember, Gas+Paint+Marker=GOGGLES!!!

I'm not going to defend not wearing masks, but just a note, I don't believe the gun was loaded when the kid was holding it. I wasn't around at that point, though, so I'm not sure.

There were several occassions after the day of play was over where we were shooting into the woods without wearing masks. I never had a problem with that so long as the people were experienced. Then again, I've never been one to be anal about it. I wouldn't be doing it with newbies around who would pick up bad practices, though. At that point it was only our group who was still there.

OK, thanks for the warning and for looking out for us Hasty 8, but I've been playin for over 12 years and saftey is a mantra of mine, as it is for Jon and everyone else there!! There were LOTS of people around in that pic, notice that Jon and Donggie (those are his kids btw, he is the guy holding the green barrel) were on top of those kids. That was the ONLY time they even touched the SFL. And they only really held it long enough for me to snap the picture. Jon was supporting the weight of the marker and making sure it was aiming into the woods.

So it was done as safely as possible, trust me. Thanks for looking out for us though.
