    Cult3D model of extreme

    Hi all!!
Last time you heard from me was during the fantasy emag contest, and now im back!

I have made a Cult3D model of an extreme!!
I made it to test Cult3D, so it's my first Cult3D model ever (I have experience from 3Ds Max from making quake models).

    Check it out at:

It's not 100%, because I only used a picture as reference and because I've never seen a emag in real life (only like 5 in sweden uses them I belive, maybe more ).

It's 320 kb and the server is in Sweden, so it might be slow.
You also need the latest cult3d plugin from www.cycore.com

That's very impressive, especially if you have only done it from pictures

Tom hire this guy. That is an awesome way to advertise your markers. It really give you a feel for them. That was very impressive! You should put that on the airgun homepage.

Thank you, I'm glad you all liked it

I'm only doing it for fun, and to learn Cult3D

Manike, G-Rexx: Yes, only from pics, but there are a lot of pics out there to use as reference

Tom: This is my first paintball model ever , and as I said before this is my first cult3D model to, so I havn't done anything else for paintball. But I will in the future try to make a extreme that is complete, so you can strip it down to the smallest O-ring and rebuild it again, and change module. That will be a lot of work, but will be great fun

It looks like it works from a polygon or mesh file. Is this correct? If so can you import them from other systems? i.e. could you import an STL file and use that to render your 3D model? Or come to think of it could you import any surface file formats?

That's great, we could use something like that on our Visualize page.

Manike: Yes I can import a STL or any other format Max can import and then export it as A C3D into the cult designer

BUT I have never imported a STL into Max so I don't know how well it works, do you know where I can find any STL's so I can find out.

John: I got the idea from that page

Just out of interest, How long did that take you to build and how many polys does it use?

Modeling in 3d has always interested me, but i'm too impatient to do anything well :/

Jonneh: It's about 15000 polys, many of them are in the barrel. And it took me about 3 days to model the whole thing, 1 day to figure out how Cult3D work and how to make the barrel and module move, and about 1 day of trial and error to get the java class for changing color to work.

But then you have to understand that I didn't sit 5 days in a row with it, but worked with it a little now and then. I think I started just before Christmas.
