    JT Proteus Mask

I know this is a Mag forum but I was wondering do all proteus masks come with a fan built in? And are they good masks even for people with glasses?

The fan is an option. I got one with mine. As for using with glasses, it's the same as the JT Spectra. I love it personally.

I don't have the fan, but I've never needed a fan after the first day I used the mask. I don't know why, but it fogged like crazy the first day and then never did it again.

If the fan is an opition then this mask probably does not have a fan does it? http://www.actionvillage.com/020-4150-4.html Because Im getting a mask and Im wondering if this is the mask for me to get even with glasses. Thanks for all the info on the mask so far. I was also wondering what does the fan inside the mask exactly do? does it cool you down, or make it so the lenses dont fog?

it does both at the same time....it sucks out the humid air that fogs up your goggles, and replaces it w/ fresh cool air,all in 5 seconds.....im getting 1 soon

I don't think that mask comes with a fan sOker but just give paintballgear a call, it is toll free.

Most likely the mask you are talking about DOES NOT come with a fan because it does not say if it does, which usually means it doesn't. Anyways, take it from me, that fan is a such a waste of money! I have one in my Proteus, its the biggest hunk of crap ever, IT DOES NOTHING! Its almost impossible to feel the fan blowing on you, and you don't need the sucktion feature on it either because they Proteus has a dual thermal lens and is guaranteed not to fog. Its useless, trust me, save your cash for something elese, seriusly, the fan sucks, don't buy it.

a fan would be helpful in keeping you glasses from fogging (does you know good if your mask is clear of fog but your glasses are fogged up...).

My brother made a homemade fan that connects to his mask out of a small computer fan. Works great for him.

i have a proteus AND glasses AND a fan. i like it, it fits great, and feels great, i only use the fan to de-fog my glasses and i turn it on when i get hot. The fans are like and extra 20 or 30 i belive, but if you have glasses it is worth it, i highly recomend it.
