    Low Pressure Mags

Come on, when are they goin to be out, I'm just waiting to spend my money. I'm looking to get it in a SFL, are they goin to be out sooner or later than the Extremes?? It will be a dream come true if I see them at my field this weekend. Come on all I want to do is spend money. I'm sure I'm not the only guy out there who feels like this!?!?!?!

Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

LP is WAY overated and overmarketed.

IMO, i dun care for LP. The advantages of LP is the bolt won't chop a ball because the presure is so low. Another "advantage" if you will is the gun is much more quiet. Some people really like quiet guns, i do'nt really mind my gun being loud.

Many people will say lower presure will break balls less down teh barrel which isn't true at all. The reg on my Cocker was at around 650-800psi(why i was running it so high.. long story). I was shooting extreamly brittle paint (broke on one drop from TK's paint test). No paintballs broke down my barrel from the high presure. I had a few breaks here and there but that was due to my gun double feeding.

Alright, I don't want this to become a big argument or whatever, it was just me wondering when these valves are comin out cause I'd like one, or at least like to try one out or see it shoot. Just a quick question, isn't it the pressure thats behind the ball not the operating pressure of a gun that affects some of the ball breaks?????

Yes, it's the pressure behind the ball...

The valves are already out. The 60 psi behind the ball that we speak of is descriptive of all current mag valves.

Theres alot more to paint breakage than pressure.

If you have an old mag make sure you have the following updates.

            AGD longnose foamie.
            Plastic nubbins.
            Parobolic PF plug.
            The stock tapered powertube tip.
A barrel that matches the paint in which the breach is NOT out of tolerance.

Tom was the last of a now extinct breed, a breed of players who build a community, a breed of owners who gave to the sport never taking more than what they deserved. I hope to see you at the feild again some day....

About 1.5yrs ago or somewhere around then I played a viper senario 24hr game, where I had tried to make my gun as low pressure as possible. I the needs 375 to cycle I believe, however with a older 3star valve with 4hole mod reactor on/off, a shorter trigger rod and I forget what size spacer, I was able to get a reactive trigger with not TOO bad drop-off in bursts running at only 250psi. I have an airsmith to prove it, lol. I played the whole game like that. Afterwards I just traded the drop-off for good clean loud power, but it was an interesting setting.
