          well the reality of this things is that with you winning the auction Ebay will charge the seller 3% of the sale...So as stupid as the seller is I can understand the necessity to file a claim on his side...

          That said he could have asked to settle on Ebay by mutually withdrawing from the transaction.

          Poor sucker...
