From the people I've talked to who are involved in the company, it seems that the Gardners aren't actually part of the overall SP foodchain anymore. Someone new has been taking care of a lot, and they've taken themselves (been pushed) out of the picture. I heard they had a milsim side project, and there's been a few references in this thread. -
I have a feeling there will be more questionable patents, but I feel like this is a trap. Dragging them into Milsim territory is a good thing; it's like tricking someone into a minefield. When they patent something that a major firearms company or military branch owns, they WILL ge sued. Big companies will protect themselves, whereas small paintball companies will (and did) fold under the pressure of the Gardners money.Originally posted by BagheeraGreat. If they go after the milsim market in a hardcore way, they'll probably patent putting rails on paintball guns next.Comment

My post was completely tongue-in-cheek, but you do raise a good point. Here's hoping that greed outweighs intelligence in this matter.Originally posted by Frizzle FryI have a feeling there will be more questionable patents, but I feel like this is a trap.
