    RT Crown Point Muzzle

Did anyone else know it did this?

I didn't know if I had the barrel fully twisted in the mainbody so I gave it a tug and the muzzle turned slightly. I looked at it for a second, gave it a twist in the opposite direction and it spun a lot more. I noticed it was coming from the barrel, so I turned it again and before I knew it the tip unthreaded from the barrel!

It was red-loctited from the factory but I guess it must have dried out and cracked...

It's giving me ideas, I might make a mock suppressor, "rain-cover", or just go crazy and make my own cool muzzle for it.

If you are crafty you could even extend it from 11" to whatever you want!

It had to be fastened on the barrel somehow.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I was betting on pressed and glued like the old SP "2-piece" barrels.

          That was the cheap way.

AGD does things the proper way.

Nothing wrong with a good press fit. It can be more solid than threading if it's done properly.

            Cool find.

I had a feeling it was threaded, i just couldn't get it off and didn't want to try. Nice to see i was right.

Years ago when I had an RT Original w/Crown Point barrel... I found the barrel to actually shoot better without the Crown Point (after unscrewing it).....

                  Interesting.

I just thought of another thing, perhaps a BT APEX coud fit on the stock barrel now with little modification!

Any crown point barrel I've owned I've been able to unscrew off. It's great if you plan on having the barrel anodized.

If it is done properly is the key.

With the threads on the end, all sorts of options could be added to the end of the barrel like faux silencers, muzzle brakes, barrel shrouds.
