Mag MQ Valve

Heyo,

Just got reminded about the MQ valve over on MCB. I remember them being developed back when I was in college.

I remember that they were working on developing an MQ valve for the Mag.

Obviously they never made production or I wouldn't have to ask about them. Did any of the prototypes make it out?

There was one prototype built, but I dunno where it is. I wish they where willing to explain how the bolt system operated(i bet it's something along the lines of a mini....), cause I'd be willing to be it wouldn't be THAT hard to build on a lathe or C&C machine

Well, there are animations for the cocker version of the MQ valve. I really don't expect it to be that much different.

The only thing I haven't quite figured out yet is how to hold the bolt back. Or were they converting this into a closed bolt gun with the mod?

Yeah, I suppose you're right, the trick is figuring out how to re-route the air to do it all inline.

but I suppose that since the valve is operated electronically you can control the volume of air going into the chamber via the dwell time. (or more likely, fix the dwell and alter the pressure)

MQ mag turned nothing up. MQ valve brought up a crapload of results. I'm not sure what to search or how old the post would be, and i'm feeling lazy right now haha. What did you search? If i know what to search i'll actually spend the time to look.

Have you spoken with anyone at MTX about it? They're really not doing anything with it right now. Maybe ask them if you can do a small run?
