I bought a Halo because I thought I was going to need it running my X-valve with either a ULT or RT on/off. I've only used it a couple of times. I usually stick with my 18v revvy with 1/2 black, 1/2 clear shells, it's plenty fast for my needs. I was shooting my blazer last weekend and my buddy was shooting his Spyder on 6 bps full auto. He turned it up because he said I was shooting about twice as fast as him. Never had one chop or misfire. Plus I like how much lighter the Revvy is compared to my Halo.Comment

Thanks for posting that. I just might have to try that.Originally posted by Frizzle FryThere's a drop-in kit that makes any standard Revvy into a Reloader B.Comment

My wife and I love our 12v revvies. Mine has an xboard and newer paddles. Hers doesn't. They're just so simple and reliable. And even if the batteries died on us (they seem to last forever), they still function as perfectly good shake and bake hoppers too.
Last weekend I had the lid shot off while reloading during the night portion of Aliens in the Rockies so now I've got to get a replacement lid. It was actually kind of funny. I popped the lid open, heard a strange sound, dumped the pod, in and my hand couldn't find the lid to close it.Comment

It's so funny that this thread popped up at this point. I was using a halo for the last 2-3 years. Prior to that I was using an Egg, then before that a revy. I just sold the halo, and bought three revies with the money. One mistake that I made was I bought two of the new version, with the crappy shells. One of those, I think the eyes went. The other the lid broke, and now I am down to the last one, that is probably 10 years old, but kicking like a mule. I just ordered 7 "broken" revies from a guy on Ebay. Most are complete but just don't work, so I am hoping to be able to fix my 2 broken ones, and build one or two more out of it. If nothing else, they are all the older shells, so at least I have replacement parts, which are getting harder to come by these days. Gotta love the revy!!!

Best bet is to buy a regular VL200. The lids on them are more flexible than the new stiff ones. They take far more abuse, and the whole hopper will run you maybe $5 and you get all the pieces(spring, pin, etc.)Originally posted by esperto96Last weekend I had the lid shot off while reloading during the night portion of Aliens in the Rockies so now I've got to get a replacement lid.Comment

I had one of the oldschool ones for a long time and the board finally gave out on me, corroded where the eyes attached to the main board. just ran all the time.

Hey now that WAS went out of business and their files are public property, SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE ANOTHER RUN OF WAS TURBOREV BOARDS! Cmon, that'd be the ultimate sleeper loader. A revvy feeding 18bps!Comment

Revy
I still have my first VL Revy with the twist lock nose cap and batteries that were held on with a strap. It is still wrapped with socks and camo tape for padding.I cant remember a ball ever busting on that hopper.I still use my clear VL 2000 with stock board and propeller it feeds to my clear warp.sigpicComment

I had issues with my Revvy after getting a vert feed mod. Couldn't tilt the loader forward to keep it feeding. Unless the hopper was near full, it would start skipping if I tilted it up to longball as all of the balls would sit in the back of the hopper while the paddles just spun wildly. Had to switch to a forcefed.Comment
