That triangle on the side, is that a hole in the breech for a squeegee? If so that's actually a really good idea.

Man, you guys are making me feel old. The triangle thing is exactly what you think it is. Pulling that squeegee through put you right back in the game. When you locked the mechanism, there was no more tension on the internals, so it was just stayed cocker in the backward position until you pulled it forward.
This is a great move by Tippmann. They should bring back the whole line. A lot of what they made was great fun to shoot, and they are really cool looking too. The Prom-Am and Pro-Lite were just wicked.

dan, weird i thought it went back forward, i just have an original sl68(not the two) and it slies back forward...but its also needing some work.

i was partial to the pro carbine myself, loved that thing, but i agree it was all downhill after those

Ok, that does make sense then haha. Also compared to me you might be old, i'm only 19, 20 in a month, i'm guessing you're in your 30's or 40's or so so, which definitely isn't old but it's older than me.

I doubt it, it probably adjusts down the barrel like other nelson valved guns.

Velocity adjustment on the SL-68II is done on the side of the bolt, at rest (forward position), with a screw through that body window. Said body window also acts nicely as a sort of detent, since balls coming down the feedneck will kind of "catch" at the window while being too large to get through it. A feature that might not have been intentional, but works really well unless you feel the need to run a HALO on an SL.

Quick edit - on the picture above, the silver in the window is the bolt. The small dark circle will be a 3mm allen screw. That's the velocity adjuster.

I assumed that to be a nylon screw like in phantoms, so the SL changes the velocity by altering the air flow?

Why can't AGD re-release the E-Mag, they'd make a killing off a limited re-run.

We used to put elastic bands around the body. The elastic used to act like a detent to keep it from double feeding if the balls were too small for the barrel.
