I noticed you got screwed by their mail service too... That was your feedback, right?

If you pour through their feedback you'll notice a lot of "False Positives" as I call them, which say "it all got worked out" but describe items not getting shipped, or lies about shipping, or similar color and model issues to the one I'm having.

They pulled that "USPS issue" thing with me too... They "shipped" my package by printing a label, then dropped it off at the post office 9 days later after I complained a few times. They say USPS took forever, but according to the USPS website it wasn't dropped off for days.

I wonder who I should trust

Yea, ordered 2 things, and was suppose to get combined shipping, didnt... n then I never recieve the packages. Contacted them, they told me they shipped, and when i checked the tracking info, both packages were delivered... to the city next to mine. and somehow paypal still didnt consider it barbs' fault.
In the end, barbs' refunded half my payment, but only because I went through paypal:/

Positive feedback for an undelivered item with a 50% refund? You're far more forgiving a man than I.

I posted pics. A little blurry, but the best I can do with what I have.

They show the clear color difference, as well as the different decal placement. If you look closely, you can see that the ASA I recieved is longer and thinner than the other, with slightly different milling. It also is too shallow to accept macro-fitting threading all the way, whereas the model in the picture (I own several) has no problem with the exact same fitting.

I took a picture next to a "real green" piece to show the difference. If anything, the flash on the camera makes the crappy ASA look less yellow and more green than it does in person... It's also not an even color, it's more yellow in front and becomes greenish in back.

Because of the blurry, flashy-ness of the picture, I took a picture next to an item of the same green color as the ASA pictured in the auction. Do not make the mistake of thinking the flash washes out the color, it is in fact more yellow in real life than it is in the pictures... The flash seems to make it more green.

Be as accurate and precise as you can, including names, e-bay numbers, times, dates etc. so that when they threaten to sue you for libel / slander (ok, I forget which is which) you can simply tell them ok. Remember, as long as what you are writing is defensibly truthful it is not libelous.

Found some stuff on other forums:

ANSgear is the worlds largest online paintball store. Huge selection of Paintball Guns, Tanks, Masks, Loaders, Harnesses, Barrels and more. Fast & Free shipping will keep you up to date with all of the best paintball gear.

A forum community dedicated to paintball gun owners and enthusiasts. Come join the discussion about optics, builds, gear, events, reviews, accessories, classifieds, and more!

These are the most major threads, but there are lots of small ones and in each are testimony to the awful customer service and lack of responsibility of this company. They are to be avoided, and I plan to slam them in every feedback thread on every forum of which I am a member... Telling only the truth. They did it; it's their fault it looks bad.

I'm pretty dissapointed, as I've bought all my previous ASAs of the same brand from you and been very satisfied.

What are we going to do about this?

You provided a picture of the item for the auction, and I chose to purchase it. What I recieved was not the item in the picture; it was not the same model or the same color. I have not recieved what I purchased.

If you have the dark green ASA with decals on the side that you pictured in the auction, I will return what you sent me and you can send me the correct model and refund my shipping costs.

If you do not have it, you can refund my money, plus shipping costs to return the incorrect item.

You can ask the manufacturer why the product you ordered was not the exact color you were looking for. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Your previous email didn't even address the fact that you sent me a different model, and you can't honestly say you're sorry for the inconvenience because if you were you'd take your item back and send me the correct one.

You have refused to address the fact that you sent me the WRONG MODEL of Custom Products ASA... I know the color variation might be the manufacturers fault, but they laughed when I said that it wasn't the right model and told me to contact you again. I can and will cancel my PayPal claim at any time if you refund me, or replace my item with the proper model and color. Otherwise, I'll continue with the claim and I'll be calling the ANS office twice a day until I get some answers.

I've ordered from ANS Gear in the past and been very happy with what I've recieved. Don't ruin your reputation over a $38 mistake.

CP says you're responsible for sending me the right model... You didn't. I don't want PayPal to take your money from you; it looks bad and I feel bad having to resort to that. All I want is my money back, or an ASA in the same model and color as the auction. Make that happen and my PayPal case goes away.

You can't ignore me; you're legally obligated to provide me with a refund or the item pictured in the auction. It's what's known as a "Warranty of Merchantability" and it applies to anything sold in or to someone in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It'll cost me $15 to file in small claims, about half of what I sent you. How much will it cost you to send a representative across the country to go to court? Or would you like having an arrest warrant in your name? Give me my money back and this goes away. Better yet, just give me what I paid for.

Now, what you haven't heard of is a site called Toolhaus.org which allows me to isolate all of your bad feedback. There are some trends in your feedback; wrong item, wrong color, 15+ days of shipping... I won't do the work for people but when you look at the numbers it takes only a few seconds to put two and two together. Refund me, or replace my item. Now.
                        And finally...

They consistantly argue when left bad feedback - I saw that. Considering A) the consistancy of the bad reviews and B) the childish responses consistantly from Barbs I would simply decide not to do business with them. As if this thread wasn't enough. Of course, thats easier said then done. I really wish e-bay would step up against such issues though.

Paypal will need the tracking number to finalizes the transaction and like what someone else said already. If the seller ignores it, paypal will give you your money back including shipping charges.
You have 45 days to file a paypal claim. That's what Barbs is waiting on, for the 45 days to elapse, it happen to me once and the company that i purchased the item from was so "helpful", more like stalling me from making the claim. After the 45 days I never heard from them again. Wouldn't return PH calls,emails...ect...which they always had before the 45 days.

If you don't do it within the time period, your screwed. Do it now, paypal will do their thing, if they ignore paypal, PP will ask you to send the item back with tracking. Give PP the tracking number and once the items is received and still no response from the company. Your money will be back in your account to include shipping.

To be honest, I really am surprised that CP didn't have a better reply for you on this. You would think they would be trying to protect their reputation for quality and help you with your dilemma. Makes me wonder if they aren't dumping their QC rejects to these companies. Due to the past issues with ANS and the bad regulators, it wouldn't surprise me if someone isn't buying Chinese knock offs either, it is the typical MO that I see in my industry all of the time. Again, if this were the case, you would think that CP would be interested in getting to the bottom of the situation. Seems like poor CS all around and a lot of passing the buck.

I've filed with PayPal. First a claim, then a dispute. I've sent the item back with tracking, but BarbsPB has finally responded with some outrageous claim that isn't posted to the account. Basically, a PayPal agent authorized the return so I shipped 2 days ago with tracking... Then BarbsPB responded and when I called they told me they couldn't tell me what BarbsPB said (which is weird, because BarbsPB is able to see my complaint) and that they'd be reviewing the case once again.

Now it looks like not only will I not get my money back, I won't even have the piece of junk ASA they sent me
