    searching for new paint.

I haven't played in a while at a field that offers BYOP and as i was looking at prices of my usual paint i see it has gotten more expensive, like 20 bucks more. i'm now looking for a new replacement paint but i haven't used some of them and have no experience with their quality.

i'm looking to spend <40 per case, do you have one that costs about that? pro's/con's?
any experience with white box or XO paintballs?

    thanks.

The last time I used XO, it was beautifully round but hard as a rock. This stuff bounced off the top of someones head on a bunker run (mine). The fill was not the greatest, but about average for the price level.
I would think that if they have resolved the issues with the shell, it should be pretty good.

Stinger is around that price range too. Very watery fill, and I have found it to be pretty inconsistant as far as roundness. When it is good is it really good, but when it is bad....

we have sold about 200 cases of WPN Killabeez paint this summer up at our store. customers swear by it and we are unable to keep it in stock.

from my experience when its fresh it shoots great, decent fill, perfect shells. however the shell is a tad on the thick side so you will get bounces here and there. but for woodsball this stuff is great!

one thing to note, when WPN paint is not fresh its goes bad FAST and you will definitely not be happy with the paint

it should retail between $35-$45 a case.

Stinger is terrible. It is the cheapest paint my store carries and it chops in everything except my lvl10...

The best paint I've found as far as mid-low grade is ProCapps Recon. It is the same as Draxxus Blaze minus the double shell. It seems as consistant in bore size and roundness, and it even has the same color shell and fill!

It is about $40 a case if not just a buck or two more, but it is definitely a very good paint for the money.

Only thing is that it won't keep out of bag for more than a month or two. After that it gets brittle to the point that my Ricochet impeller literally pokes holes in the shells!

The next best is XBall at ~$35 a case, but I've not shot it myself, just heard good things about it...

thanks for the advice, although it looks like the local shop doesn't carry most of the ones listed.
yay for actionvillage sucking. i really hope their lack of selection isn't due to the 50cal paint i've been hearing about.

Well, if you can't find any off brands, I swear by Draxxus.

Even their cheaper stuff (Midnight, RecSport, etc) isn't too bad. RecSport is actually field paint at a local FEC.
