Yep PVI, you can tell by the trigger, non gadget grip, and that the body when looking at it from the back isn't symmetrical like so:

Nice box, reminds me of mine

Man...Who said AGD kids are stupid

You guys are spot on. What your looking at is why Smart Parts has a patent on the Electro Marker.

        The very first Shocker

Funny story. It started leaking down the barrel a few weeks ago and come to find out 14 yrs later, the bolt housing splits in two. Every oring on it has been replaced except for the 2 inside the bolt housing which I never knew how to get to but it's fixed now and she's good as new with her l33t 8 bps Uberness

I *think* the Shocker 4x4s were capped at 13.3bps.

I had one, with a ghetto rig switch to run the burst and ramp modes. Actually, it was quite a nice shooter. If anything, it seems reminiscent of the early Matrices; closed bolt, gas hog, maintenance intensive.

Er, this is only going to derail, but I would say this is a bit of a simplification. Best to leave alone, probably.

Nice Shocker, I wish I had been able to hold on to mine.
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

I still have the Shoebox I picked up in 98 and to this day I never had a single problem with it, yes they are air hogs and the ROF really depended on what board you had. I think the DS boards were capped at 10-11 bps and LS boards were at 13 or vice-versa. It's been so long I don't remember anymore. The Turbo mode or ramping mode as it's called now on Shockers was set at 9 bps, you just needed your fingers going 5bps to activate it. Tell ya what tho, my Shoebox is still the most accurate marker I've ever shot. I couldn't tell you how many times I've picked people off aiming at their barrels as they stuck them out shooting across the field.

I do know the tech was already out there for an electric marker but this is what Smart Parts used as a basis to the patent. At least that's what I read. Believe me, I'm no SP fan. I'll be right with you bashing the hell out of them for some of the crap they pulled.

I really can't blame them on the E-marker patent but the rest of the patents they tried pushing through is where the line was crossed.

hey how much did the PVIs differ in operation to the 4x4s?

the 4x4 valve is an SSA MQ valve, Mellisingood/Christopher who also made the Pulse valve 3way did a mod that converted the 4x4 into a normal MQ style valve

said he got better FPS for the same PSI
i picked up a shoebox just to do the mod

Don't get me lying to ya.

I don't really know. They both have basically the same internals so I would have to say it was the same. At least I couldn't tell or see any dif
