You can buy the ss braided line and fittings from a lot of places, try palmers, the shrink wrap you buy at an automotive store like autozone

I think 13 inch hose works real well from the asa to the valve

I didn't have shrink wrap so I wrapped mine in electrical tape, classy huh?

What ever works. I tried using liquid electric tape on a 4" SS line, just for testing purposes. Came out really well and bends with the SS line. It basically creates a rubber coating around the line. Bad thing is, trying to take it off. Almost imposable But it stays on for ever from the looks of it.

Uline has a electrical tap that only sticks to its self (good for easy clean removal) and i think it shrinks when it gets hot.

Ill try and find a link, saw it at work in a catalog

Back wrap your electrical tape first (sticky side out ) and then wrap it a second time the normal way it makes taking the tape off very easy and you don't have sticky residue on your lines if you decide to forgo the tape in the future.

They also make that tool dip stuff that you use to replace the grips on your tools and it comes in different colors (i believe).

                O.o
Forgot about that stuff...I think I seen it at Lowes. I'll test it out and let you guys know how it came out. Biggest thing is seeing if it's flexible after drying.

that stuff is flexible but I find it crumbles and breaks after time on tools, so i dont know how long it will last on a line.
I used electrical tape on mine and I made it look pro. just gotta make sure there is no paint residue on the line or it wont stick :P

Check ebay man. Lots of steel line as well as heat shrink tubing. IIIRC the 1/2" tubing is what you want.

just go to autozone, it's in the electronics section. i always used a heat gun when i used it (on electronics, never did it to a hose), but a lighter would probably work.

a lighter or even the stove on low. I usually just keep the hose moving and hovering over the flame. It takes seconds!!!

Graybar.com has the heat shrink in 2' length, it doesn't list a price, but I gave them a call and they are $3.53 each.

I use a map gas torch... Set it down, ignite and lock, then pass the hose over it about 1.5' above. Fast and easy, no chance of ignition.
